Because if so, you guys will find quite a few people to bust in the 500+ pages of the "Post a Picture of Yourself" thread.
Or personal info (just a picture and the name) of someone NOT on CC, which would also apply to the "picture of yourself" thread. Just curious...

The same thing happened when they banned the four users for posting on other accounts earlier (including DM). This had been done before under very similar circumstances, yet no action was taken. However, once DM did it shit went down. It must be hard for DM, honestly. There's no way to tell when his actions break the rules. Just as with last time, I guarantee there will never again be a ban over this sort of thing. For instance, my sister's phone number is (630)-386-2820. :o

Jesus-Tap Dancing- Christ.

P.M. the administration?

How about someone with some form of decision making AUTHORITY make an appearance on this thread and address the pissed off minions who pay the damned rent around here?

There is no reasonable logic for a ban in this incident. Your credibility is in the shitter and sinking deeper in the pile as every day passes. And to punish someone on a technicality or because of past incidents when there crimes have since been paid for is just lazy and simple minded.

You wonder why this site is dying ? Shitty response times, knee jerk over reactions and no one willing to take any form of responsibility for their actions.

Edited to prevent editing.

Underage, boys, back up three steps. Anyways, my point has been proved. See, she doesn't use the website, therefore this is OK. Of course. I'm going to have her join later tonight and then edit the post. I wonder what will happen!

So this morning Clapper posted lackattack's response in a thread.

Once again, I place my face in my palm because he said that it's against the rules to post personal information to attack someone.

That's all well and good, but DM wasn't attacking the guy. He wasn't just "given permission," he was ASKED to post it.

f*ck this. Seriously. There goes any chance I had of respecting the administration. They will never ever ever admit they're fucking wrong. Grow a pair, you dicks.

DM said the guy wanted his phone number posted publicly. What were the exact words used to make this request? Because in the post that I read, where DM quotes the PM, there is no such request.

That said, in my mind it doesn't matter. If someone says "Shoot me" it is still a crime to shoot him.

But maybe it will calm the rest of you down if you realize the request was never made.

DM breaks the rules.

DM gets banned.

Timmy cries about it.

Didn't this just happen a few weeks ago?

It is common sense that you should not post someone's phone number. This whole reaction and "public outcry" is ridiculous.

QFT, because shooting someone and posting someone's phone number when asked to on a forum when it's not even against the rules are exactly the same thing.

And if you look at the post, you see that it's not addressed to DM but to all of CC. It was a message that Seimwhatever intended for DM to post in a thread and I'm sure asked him to.

This isn't news. I've known for atleast a year that you aren't supposed to post personal information about someone else. If these people would quit pushing their luck this wouldn't be an issue.

It's only temporary anyways...

It's common sense that you don't post someone's number when they don't want and ask you to. That was not this situation since he was asked to. You say it's ridiculous, but if it had been you or anyone you respected on this forum, you would not think so.

And the big problem we have isn't that DM is gone. We've already resigned ourselves to that fact. The problem rules are getting stretched/created to ban people the administration don't like.

Funny, I don't see anything there which would imply that he wanted his phone number to be posted. Just because Dancing Mustard said he requested this doesn't make it so. Has anyone asked Semigall or are you guys just going by what DM said without any real evidence?

Probably the latter...

So said DM. If this was the case why didn't Semigall post it himself? If you haven't taken the time to ask Semigall you really don't know what you're talking about regardless of whether you are correct or incorrect.

On what planet does "i don't really have time or mood to change people opinions through internet" translate as "please post my phone number on the internet?"

that would be no planet i know of. Instead of missing the point, you could just go back to the part where you said has anybody asked for Semigalls opinion on the matter, in which the bolded part points out rather simply, from the source in question even, why this might be a losing proposition.

Stay on earth, its nice here.

If you had checked Semigall's profile:

http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=141188

You'd see that the last time he was logged on was Fri Nov 28, 2008 1:49 pm, shortly after the original thread (http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=70912) was locked. My question is did anyone try his phone number and ask him or did the mods try to contact him and ask him (they should have his email address)? My guess is they didn't, because they weren't interested in finding out the whole story, only in laying the smackdown on DM because they were displeased with him.

Please be write using specifics, you have a vauge stile which I'm struggling with ie not stating what you were addressing in the orriginal post and using phrases like "the source in question"which could be either DM or Semigall.

The bolded part was in reference to the orriginal debate, not whether or not he wanted his phone number posted.

you are correct in that, the bolded part is from the original debate. I was using that bit of information, which as was stated by another poster, to be the last action of the individual on the forum, to point out why the statement in your post (which i was referring to) was on shaky ground.

I happen to think im quite direct.

QFT, because shooting someone and posting someone's phone number when asked to on a forum when it's not even against the rules are exactly the same thing.

Do you really think they "are exactly the same thing"? They are not. But it illustrates that just because someone requests that you break a rule/law that would potentially harm them, it doesn't make it okay to do it.

"I'm sure asked him to." Just because you are sure, doesn't mean it happened. That's why I asked for the exact words.

If they guy wanted to post his phone number, he could have done it himself. DM knows this and is just causing trouble because he is bored.

Very true...

If DM truly thought he did nothing wrong and that Semigall wanted his number revealed to the world then why did DM edit the post to remove the phone number on his own accord?

You guys don't really seem to be interested with logic or reason when it comes to your online buddies...
