At least wait till the end of the weekend you only need 22 more or less by now. Post the link of this tournament in every game you are playing that is what I did. That should help boost interest. Of Course Go Cornhuskers!!!

I would wait, except for the fact that teams have been trickling in slowly all week...only a handful added over the last five days...I think the league will run well and still have that big league feel if we start short a few teams.

Plus, the weekends have been the slowest time for sign-ups, so I don't see a huge advantage in waiting into next week.

I'd still like to see it fill up if it can, but we'll all have fun regardless.

I'll post the official conference lineups and some kind of a schedule (hopefully) by Thursday morning.

We're up and running

All right everyone...I have posted the first set of games, so good luck to all on a fun season...I will be updating the blogspot site with various features through the weekend, so check there for more detailed accounts...I'll try to keep posting the basics on this thread as well...the schedule of opening games is posted there if you haven't seen it already.

Go Beavers!!!

There is a period after the link in the OP, which is causing an error. Just delete the period, until flex can fix it.

GO GATORS!!!! Soon to be 3x National Champs.

Thanks Keellan...I fixed the link...
Also, the Big-12 is listed twice as a conference in the standings board...obviously one of those is the Pac-10...that will get updated with the first batch of standings next week.

Can't believe one game has already been reported...way to go...

Please join only your games

Please join only your games...it makes it difficult to juggle the schedule and sort things out otherwise. Plus, it stinks if you have to start throwing out results because of these kind of errors.

Make sure you see your school on the game before joining.

Thanks, flex.

the second set of games has been setup...the list is in the original post on this thread and on the website...That will do it for week one...I will post Week 2 games next Tuesday or Wednesday...

I plan to update standings once over the weekend and again Tuesday or Wednesday, hopefully with all of the week one games completed.

Please join games carefully and only go into your own team's games...three games got juggled around in that first set.

good luck everyone. congrats to all the winners so far.

Scoring...

by flexmaster33
As games are completed I will post their final scores in the thread until I get a chance to update the standings...

Scoring doesn't really mean anything...I just came up with a formula based on armies gained during the game that should give us realistic basketball scores for the season.

It seems like we are still having some trouble with people joining the wrong games...please make sure that your team is listed in the Game Header before joining...One easy way to sort through available games is to go to the Game Finder, click "waiting for players" and find our tournament in the pulldown menu...then in the "game label" box type in your team name...that should give you a very short list with only your games.

I won't start Game 3s until early next week, so by the end of the weekend everyone should at least be signed up for their first two contests.

Good luck everyone, and please stop driving me bonkers with the wrong games.
