Keeping up with the NFL Draft to me is not worth the effort nor the attention it gets from some.
The same is true for me for college football recruitment, and now add the Transfer Portal to that list of "Things I do not value that much."
I wait to see how a player does on the team and on the field. Any judgement before I leave to the experts. Yes, knowing who is the #1 draft pick is interesting, but what happens when they actually play is for me of most interest, not what some expert EXPECTS.
Some do well, a few VERY WELL, and some are a BUST. And not at Hooters, either.
Recruits and transfers (and lower draft picks) are the SAME, just MORE of them on many more teams. And YES, the Cleveland Browns have not done well in the NFL for a LONG time.

The Ravens just released Justin Tucker who is one of, if not the greatest kicker of the last 10-15 years. They drafted a new kicker a few weeks ago and are saying this is 100% a football decision and has nothing to do with the multitude of allegations he was sexually assaulting girls at massage places around Baltimore throughout his tenure as a raven.
Will he be Donald Trumps next pick for National Security Advisor?

Carr announced his retirement. Don't think he was ever a bad QB. Always just a middling. Injuries galore though

Your raging, angry liberal is showing, Mook. Best up your meds....besides, his "devout catholic" status is really the "kicker" here. Typical.

Let's try this:
The Pacers win game 6 in Indiana and now we await Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs.
Let's discuss SPORTS and take a break from the hate of some in the Political arena.

With Football season around the corner, I'd have to say this off season and preseason for the NFL has been hilarious. Take the most recent news. Micah Parsons being traded to GB, a team that regularly beats the brakes off of Dallas, for 2 first round picks and a "who's this guy?"
I'd weigh in on the Sanders drama with the Browns but I'd be beating a dead horse.

Big win for DDS’ Niners last night.
Meanwhile Detroit looks real good again since their Week 1 stumble. Except the injury bug started biting again last week…

We squeeked that. That first half, Stafford looked like ass. Jones actually played solid. For all the injuries we have, I'm shocked we came out with a win. Happy birthday to me! Lol.
The injuries are insane across the board. Almost every team is suffering. NFL really needs to look into the fields. This shouldn't happen so early into the season.

There were some exciting games this weekend, both College CFP and the NFL.
The Pittsburgh Steelers win over Detroit Lions was a good one, as was the New England Patriots winning over the Baltimore Ravens.
In the CFP, two road teams won in R1: Alabama wins over Oklahoma and Miami Hurricanes defeat Texas A&M. The Group of 5 teams were both defeated, as expected; JMU from Virginia did manage to cover the point spread of some 21 points vs. Oregon.

The most exciting NFL game this year was the Saturday Night's Chicago Bears vs Green Bay

-----------------Although , It's The Lions......Detroit(The City) knew the outcome...Before the game started....LIONS...WIN( )...Hell, if The LIONS even get to The Superbowl....The World's Ending... ... ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion)...
-------------------It's not The Lions fault......It's The FORD family, to them...The Detroit Lions are a hobby like thing...NOT LIKE OTHER DETROIT SPORTS TEAMS...WHERE WINNING IS THEIR OBJECTIVE...The Illitches...Tigers/Red Wings owners(Little Caesars Pizza)....ARE THE REAL DEAL...The Pistons are Top Notch too...LIONS ........The Detroit Lions, are Lions The Christians would love to face... ....

To be FAIR, with the hiring of Coach Dan Campbell, the Lions have done well in RECENT years. Like the KC Chiefs, they may NOT make the Playoffs THIS year. Can they get back their "Mojo" in 2026??
Year/Season wins losses ties Finish in Division (NFC North) Playoff Result
2025 8 -7 - 0 3rd of 4
2024 15 -2 -0 1st of 4 Lost Div (lost to Washington Commanders, as I recall in a HUGE upset)
2023 12 -5 -0 1st of 4 Lost Conf (first year in the Playoffs in a LONG TIME)
2022 9 -8 -0 2nd of 4
2021 3 -13 -1 4th of 4
2020 5 -11 -0 4th of 4
2019 3 -12 -1 4th of 4
2018 6 -10 -0 4th of 4
IN 2011, 2014, and 2016, the Lions lost in R1 of the Playoffs in the Wild Card Round. I think their playoff win in 2023 was their first playoff win in a very long time, since 1991? Perhaps ConfedSS knows..??

-----------------1991 A.D......YOU JUST PROVE THE FORD FAMILY...LIONS ARE A HOBBY..........YES, THEY LOST TO .....THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS IN 1991 A.D....JUST LIKE LAST YEAR...WHY ,YOU ASK.......BECAUSE TO THE FORD FAMILY THE LIONS ARE A HOBBY, A SHINNY THING TO SHOW THEIR RICH FRIENDS, LOOK WHAT I OWN... ...
------------------ So, JP4FUN.....You bring up 1991 A.D.......A real team bent on winning it all....Would go out and sign a free agent.......WHO WAS MR.#1 ALL STAR free agent the LIONS SHOULD OF SIGNED......NONE OTHER THAN....SUPER STAR....EX-49's QB...JOE MONTANA.....The Lions if they were bent on winning could of signed him to a 1 year contract,or maybe it was a 2 year contract...Montana was looking at DETROIT........WHY? You ask....DETROIT HAD ONE OF THE NFL'S ALL TIME BEST RUNNING BACKS......BARRY SANDERS........You put a wall to stop Barry.....Montana picks you apart...Put extra help stopping Montana...Barry picks you apart....INSTEAD...THE LIONS PLAYED THAT YEAR....NOT 1, QB, NOT 2 QB's......BUT 4 QB'S...THROUGH OUT THE SEASON.......One was Rodney Peete(Whose wife Holly is an awesome Actress......LIke always, players leave Detroit, and win a Superbowl with other teams....Rodney , WON A SUPERBOWL ,being a back up...ON THE DALLAS COWBOY DYNASTY IN THE 1990's A.D........THEY ACTUALLY WANTED TO WIN...THEY(The Fords) sign JOE MONTANA...In 1991 A.D...
----------------Campbell... On Thanksgiving, everyone saw the HACK he is......He went for it on 4th down, like an idiot...TAKE THE POINTS,kick the field goal...Sure, it's nice to gamble once and a while, NOT EVER TIME......THAT'S not coaching....THAT'S JUST STUPID.......THAT cost The LIONS that game....He has made , even more blunders since....THAT'S WHY THE LIONS will be like always...WATCHING THE SUPERBOWL FROM HOME.......But to be fair.....THE LIONS WON NFL CHAMPIONSHIPS...Before IT WAS CALLED THE SUPERBOWL......So they have won it all in the past(but that was before The Fords bought the team,THE LIONS were a DYNASTY in The 1950's A.D.)...... ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion)... ...GO PISTONS...GO RED WINGS

Ignoring the stats and Confeds...Random rambles about not wholly relevant to football, the Lions have made leaps in and bounds in recent years under Dan Cambell. Coaching goes a long ways. You can hire all the talent you want, but if you have a staff that just doesn't care, then the players won't either. As JP4 put it, no one thought the Chiefs were really anything but just a middle of the ground team until Andy Reid took over.
