Way to many posts to read them all...
This is the first time I've seen this thread and it has been here since Jun?

Can someone please finish this board so I can play it... And the creator can make more like this one!

Okay just to handle andy's job (or maybe its his old job now). The creator will get back to it when he gets back from his vacation. Secondly the creator of this map has already created several maps and will probably have many more in the future.

I correctingly wrote:You guys keep repeating the same thing. Jota is on a trans-continental voyage in which he does not have proper access to a computer. Be patient.

I would hardly call a trans-continental voyage a vacation unless you were in a car and slept at a hotel where they give you free Russian mints and a continental breakfast. Get it, continental breakfast, trans-continental voyage, huh? heh heh heh?

Okay, I very much like the idea - how long did it take you to set up the arrows?

However, I think there's a lot of things to capitalise upon. We probably need to run this as a sort of "beta map" - ie. prone to change and balance issues. Due to the complex nature of the map there might be unforeseen balance issues - ie. starting at the wrong side of the board might be to your disadvantage.

There should be more continents or more continent bonuses, and more rooms in general - because there of the one way routes this compensates for that. We want a fun game of chasing each other around, as opposed to a dull stalemate/closed game. More rooms would solve that. I'm concerned there will be more bottlenecks than usual (intentional), but we don't want too many either.

Make a minority of the passages two-way - it will add an element into the game.

Teleportals - more than just between rooms, there should be portals across the map, perhaps? Perhaps some will be one-way, some two-way. Or perhaps portal that also converge at some center region of the map (one-way) - holding that region has a bonus while facing all the onslaught, in addition to the Halls.

The edge of the map - I think this would be the best place to place the portals. Part of the problem, methinks, is that it feels too two-dimensional - hence, there isn't just a dead-end by being at the edge of the map.

I think people are going to spend long hours on their turns just thinking of the best route to think. Congratulations, you've created a risk form of chess! ;-)

i like it, i guess i'm probably late with this tho. The only thing that i would change is to make the colors a bit darker, or make them stand out more so it is a bit clearer. But other than that it looks great

i dont have time to read 9 pages of things to see if its been mentioned but maybe the arrows going out could be green, and in could be red???????? if that would work, not sure

if jota needs someone to work on the code and stuff i'm sure we can find some volunteers just so this map doesn't stagnate and lose interest.

Andy, do you have any idea how long Jota was planning to be on vacation? I'd really like to see this map advancing, and I think a lot of others feel the same way.

Would it be alright for someone to take over then? Because this was shaping up to be a really cool map and then Jota just died.

Yes, don't start any new maps before you finish the ones you have in development.

I'd rather see 1 map finished than 3 in development which never see the light of day. Focus on your France map first...it has the most potential.
