Anyways, since I know I'm right and have to leave for the weekend in a few hours, I'll post the next question now:

In the first episode of Firefly (entitled "Serenity"), what was the name of woman to whom Malcolm Reynolds sold his contraband to and what position of authority did she hold?

Actually, OA, you didn't get the whole answer correct.

The intro with the engrish was made for the European version, and didn't exist in the original japanese version of the game.

As regards your question Pico, I believe Casey Kasem was the voice of the transformer Cliffjumper.

Robin from the old cartoon "Batman and Robin"

Have you seen Frank Caliendo's stand up?

Knew that, just didn't post it. By region I thought you just meant where it was made.

Question: What are Issac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics?

1. Robot must not allow for a human being to be hurt.
2. Robot must try to prevent damage to himself, unless that would mean violating the first law.
3. Robot must try to protect property, unless so doing would mean violating one of the first two laws.

Something like that? :?

Actually, I think it's slightly different:

1. a robot must not harm human beings, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm;
2. the robot must obey any order given by a human, except where such orders conflict with the first law;
3. the robot must protect it's own existence, so long as this does not conflict with the first or second law.

Pshaw. Too easy. May 25th.

Another quick HHGTTG question :

2^276791 : 1 against is the probability of getting picked up before you die when floating unprotected through empty space.

What else is it?

It's the telephone number of an Islington flat, where Arthur Dent once went to a very good party. He had some very good food and some very good drinks, with some very good friends, and met a very nice girl... whom he totally failed to get off with.

Though the Earth, the Islington flat, and the telephone have all been demolished, it is fitting to see that they are all in some small way commemorated by the fact that some 29 seconds later, Arthur and Ford were in fact rescued.

Correct.

Did you know that quote, or did you just happen to have the book handy?

I've watched the BBC miniseries about 50 times and have the Primary and Secondary Radio Series on MP3. I know the quote.

Alright, sticking with h2g2:
What is the slogan of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation: Complaints Division, and what do the half-letters sunk in the ground translate to in the local language?

Posted: Wed Aug 01, 2007 11:10 am
by The1exile
"Share and Enjoy" and either go stick your head in a pig, or maybe a duck. Not sure which.

Posted: Wed Aug 01, 2007 11:21 am
by Pico
"Share and Enjoy" it's the theme song, not the slogan.

And in the dialect the half sunk letters spell "Go stick your head in a pig"

I'll keep with the current theme, and i'll make it easy:

"What item does Arthur see, that allows him to learn how to 'not fall'?"

Edit:damn i was looking up my question and you beat me too it

Actually Pico, "Share And Enjoy" is the slogan for the Complaints Division, and is also the title of the company song, sung by Sirius Cybernetics Robots that all sing the song a flattened fifth out of tune.

And I'll admit my sadness, I haven't read books 3-5, because the books were originally based on the radio series and the timeline got all fucked up in the process.

Pico can use his question. And I don't know the answer to it.
