the 2011 women's world cup map says specifically that each team in the group stage may replay any team in their qualifier group. however, this sentence is missing from the 2015 women's world cup map and, without it, there is no logical reason for anyone to suspect that it applies.

perhaps the extra line of text can be added at the same time as the +2 autodeploy is removed from canada in the small and large images.

Just had a game in a tourney where a high ranker got canada first. I went on to win it because he had no clue what he was doing.

Lol benga wasnt on about you. But come to think of it. Higher ranks tend to stay away from beta. Is the perfect farming place for lower ranks to beat them.

I'm playing it right now, and notice that Canada, in the group A it has a huge advantage, because the autodeploy and the ability to bombard. It should have more neutrals or be a bit difficult to take than the other regular territories.

Also, why not make Canada just a normal country ? or just having the auto deploy but without the bombarding possibility ?
Bombarding is way more powerful that the auto deploy, and it seems it has been decided to let canada bombard but remove the auto deploy, the other way around would be better.

I find its these type of comments that made me stay away from the foundry and kept me from participating, more then comments like his which are trying to be helpful and maybe dont have the time to read the whole thread.

Why, Don why?

Canada is very powerful because you can break everyone's bonus. So if you ever hold canada, you can prevent anyone to have a bonus, and you can have a bonus yourself. If it's a 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 or 4vs4,it's basically game over if you have a bonus and can break other's people bonus by bombarding them. ( bombarding is better than conquering when you want to make lot of damage).

If you take a +2 auto deploy that cannot attack other's people bonus but only fort troop out or go further in the next stage, well you simply have a +2 auto that's not such a big deal, if your opponent take a +2 deploy it's actually better.

Making canada a simple +2 auto make it an interesting bonus but relatively difficult to take and not very powerful once you have it.
Taking the +2 auto deploy away but letting canada bombarding everyone's bonus make it an awesome territory, key of the map, and it make everything else - Stage 2 and everything after- basically useless because why would you bother with them ? ( speaking of team games and 1vs1, in multiplayer game everything is useful ofc).

Personally, I feel that the bombard is what makes the map interesting as you have an interesting choice as to whether to advance for greater bonuses or prevent your opponent growing. Multiple paths to victory.

I have not read the other posts so this will probably be something that has already been stated.

The positive for this map is it looks like the other soccer maps on the site so no one should be confused by what they are getting into when playing this.The color is good and you are able to see the players colors easily enough,this is not true of some of the older maps like South America and Ancient Greece.The dark territory squares make it hard to see green and blue on those maps.

The negative is having played quite a few games 1 on 1,polly and team games,no one has progressed to stage 2 on the map in any of those games.So the whole bottom middle of the map might as well not be there as it is not used in the game.Playing quads or 4 slot polly on this map does not work at all as players simply target a color. I am sure others have said it but Canada is to powerful on this map.perhaps a fix for this map would be to make the neutrals larger in the groups to make it more difficult for a player to simply go from the regional qualifier to a group then into another regional qualifier to kill a color.

I tend to agree with ooge that teams of four or poly4 isn't as playable on this map, since it is so easy to simply target one color on the opponents' team.

Not this round, but in the past in 1 v 1s, I have used the middle of the bottom map to go take victory with the objective. However, it is less useful with larger teams.

Overall, I really like this map because of the many ways you can get to your opponent...though I don't like them having so many ways to get to me!
