Ok guys i apologize too, let us move on and i will try and represent you better in the future. Let's all try and be cough, cough, respectful in forums, and to mods from this point on. Let's rebuild our rep and be the only undefeated clan on CC! Any problems keep in this private forum please, anything else positive feel free to post in threads. Thanks again. We did not get a fair shake, we were made an example of, so let us take the high road and destroy our competition. Hopefully in future mods can communicate a little better with us before they lay down rulings.

For the record we are done fighting. We cannot win this battle so it is foolish to continue. This is what i wrote to my guys in our private forum, so please see that i am trying to take the higher road. I only ask that in the future could rules, rulings, etc. be better communicated between mods, and the guilty parties. If you need help with that i would gladly throw my hat in the ring in whatever way i can. Secondly to IA, can we please play you again so i can get a medal? lol Just kidding, everyone who came to our defense thanks, we appreciate it. Baiting your clanmates isn't and wasn't my intent Ollie. Thanks for the mention of my clan war; extremely tough battle by a great clan. We ll see what shakes out soon enough; not sure I would call it an "upset" if we do indeed move on to Kort.

So Ollie, I want to know exactly where you think THOTA baited, name called, and flamed BpB to the point that rules were broken. In addition, which THOTA members shouldnt have gotten their medals (in your opinion)? I just went and reread the entire challenge thread myself. What I found was a bunch of immaturity from one clan, who posted nearly 90% of the posts there. Needless to say, since THOTA won the challenge, BpB didnt get medals. (note also, at the time SirSebstar was not apart of THOTA, he joined some time after, so his posts were not representative of the clan)

So how exactly, is this example analogous with your situation?

In addition, TSM isnt considered an underdog to THOTA. They are a top 5 clan in our eyes, so to us, we are all on the same page.

Yup, but based on facts you can develop an opinion. In this case, I take the facts: medals add nothing to the playing of the game, I am here to have fun playing the game, people who medal obsess are more likely to cause strife (based on facts: pride causes strife, obsession is a form of pride), my fact based opinion is: I don't really care about medals, and if it causes the game to be less fun, they could be deleted from the site and I would be fine with that. I think that's more what they are looking for.

I for one know how I am supposed to act as a community member and a clan leader. Sometimes things can get hairy, but it is my responsibility to not let that get the best of me. If for some reason I do not have my self control, then I'm willing to suffer the consequences.

Of course not, but some people care about medals, some about rank, some about ratings, some just the social aspect of being able to speak their piece (and show us how smart they are, right ljex?). Ask the crowd which is more important and you will get many varied responses including "opinions of facts". Many people would get bored with CC if it was nothing but games; there needs to be options for people to spend their time here or they will find other ways to spend their time and would likely not be renewing their account.

Personally I couldn't care less about medals, but ratings are important to me. Many will berate me for caring about something they think is broken or worthless or silly or whatever, but thankfully we are allowed to decide for ourselves what we care about.

P.S. If [player]jimboy[/player] wants to remove the "Response: asshole doesn't like losing or being told "greetings" or "good game"" from his ratings left page all he has to do is withdraw his poor-sportsmanship rating

Of course people care about differnt things, thats what makes it a fact based OPINION, instead of just "fact." I'm just saying, all the crap that was given LOVO for sharing his fact based opinion was unneccessary. All I was doing is showing that his opinion was valid to be shared.

Not all the 5 guys who have been medal stripped care about medals, in fact grifftron is the guy who really values medals, that s why he might have a little over reacted in here.
I don't really get all this "I don't care about medals"' hype, as if it was shamefull to try getting medal acheivements.
Ask an olympic athlete, winning a medal is the concretization of their efforts and it is important to them. any sports/competition gives a prize in shape of a cup or plate to its winner.
Also ollie or JD are clan leaders and people might check their wall to see the detail of their clan wins, and not beleive their clan won vs IA.. which is the best clan the pack has won so far.
Anyway, if people care about medals and you don't, deal with it at stop being condescendant. If this has been put in place it's also to hook up players who consider it as a full part of the game.
We are discussing about a game, so actually nothing in this forum is important, it still brings passionate debates.

Ok a couple things here. 1. I think the mods needed to initiate this rule into threads because after all this is a public site and some things are better seen, and said in private. 2. Our medals getting revoked is not what really bothered me, it was the way it was initiated that did. Lack of communication, lack of clarity on the rules, etc. 3. I got way out of hand and should have slept on it before i started all of this. 4. I think this can all be avoided in the future if there was better written rules, and more communication between mods and clan members. 5. The mods need to be more open to the fact that they may have been wrong in some aspects of this case, and maybe publically admit fault, I think it would go a long way into improving the perception of some of the mods by clan members if we knew they can admit fault. 6. Mods have a tough job, so maybe we need to cut them a little slack in some cases. Peace everyone!

was not refering to you in particular, just that on this site each time I see someone talk about a medal issue there are 3-4 guys that come up with a "who cares about medals?/ so since when are we playing for medals?" ect. obviously some people do, and some others find it greedy or stupid.
I personally think that medals are made to force you explore as many type of CC games as possible with this little incentive and I see nothing wrong about it. In fact I don't understand how some with a lot of game experience can stick to only one gametype/map and settings without ever trying other stuff, or barely.

I'm still young, but one thing I've learned in life: no matter what anyone says, take it with a grain of salt. Saves the hassle later, and keeps the fools at rest.
