Did we? brilliant, i didn't manage to wach the second half but we were sure running rings round thim in the first

We made some pretty schoolboy errors, as did the French, but we capitalised on oppertunities and scored some good points, and the French played pretty badly (actually not really up to standard in my opinion) and didn't make the most of the game.

Proves we can win without Wilko though, and hopefully it'll get them out of that rut of 'if he plays we might win, if not we'll definitely lose!'

Italy beat Wales yesterday...the progress continues!

Yeh but the decision in the closing seconds was shocking... I felt so annoyed for the Welsh after that.

i can't believe tottenham almost beat chelsea....go spurs!

Yes I heard that the ref made a blunder cause I missed the final part of the game. But Italy are putting a lot of effort in rugby and I am happy that they managed to win 2 games. Forza Azzurri!

Wales had a penalty and could have kicked for goal and got a draw, but the ref told them if they kicked for touch (and possibly a try) they still had time. Then, as soon as it went into touch, the fourth official told him to call time...

I have just begun watching rugby Guiscard. I must still learn the rules. However if there is a sport that I never managed to understand that's cricket. Next time I speak to a Briton I will ask him to explain me the rules.
I am more of a football lover.

Whichever briton you talk to he probably won't explain them all, to be honest, they're pretty complicated.

Rugby Union is a great game though. Great spirit to it. Not marred by the same commercial materialism as football is. Exciting games, opportunities to play any number of ways...

Its just a shame England have been so bollocks since the last world cup (showing signs of improvement now though).

Yeaa, Scotland will be taking part in the Cricket world cup for the first time! Another chance to get globally humiliated, put on the first plane home and lose to some rank outsiders! I'm looking forward to it already.

What do you guys think about a British Premier League?

I had heard that Celtic and Rangers wanted that to happen but the other clubs did not want to. Let's face it, the Scottish Premier League is boring...always Celtic and Rangers winning the league. So why not create a British league? I would love to see Celtic vs Liverpool or Man. Utd. for example.

If that were to happen in said league I would side with Celtic...my favourite British team!

nice idea, but would it work, fixture congestion is a big problem these days, with FA cup replay's and european fixtures, teams could be playing up to 3 games a week, more teams wouldn't help this

Nothing would change. The same number of teams in the Premiership. The fixtures will be the same. The only thing that will change is that Scottish teams will be present in all divisions.

how would some of the 'lesser' scottish teams cope though, for example, are there any scottish football teams as bad as watford?

and what would the welsh and irish think, would they want to join?

to flashlegs. we know scotland will get trounced, but it is a good excuse for some scots to go to the windies and get bladdered and have a laugh (it is only cricket).

also scotland are up to 16th in the world rankings whoopee.

I'm proud to be both British and a European.

I'm not as proud to be English, though. I prefer Wales to England, the people are much nicer there (I find).

No worries. Rangers are 16 points behind Celtic. Celtic will win the league and Rangers will be lucky if they hold on to second.

And anyway I side with Juventus. That is my only team. However out of all the British teams I like Celtic.

I thought Wales were already part of the Premier League. I mean they have teams competing to reach the Premiership in the lesser divisions like Swansea and Cardiff I think. They also have a league of their own for non professional clubs as far as I know. Correct me if I am wrong Welshmen.

yes your right, lets just say i'm not a geographer and leave it as that. I spend most of my time in the premiership, with Manchester United, or i sometimes venture into league one, to check on the progress of Yeovil town

very few scots consider themselves british, even unionists, and i doubt the inventors of them would've. diddle's listing them as if they reflect on britain, and bigbullyweedave was just pointing out that they're not 'british' inventions, but scottish, and for some reason very few english people seem to recognise the difference.

I was watching the Colbert Report yesterday and apperently geneologists have discovered little genetic difference between the peoples of the Brittish Isles meaning they are one single people seperated only by culture and silly accents. Which means my Irish blood might as well be British which pisses me off... I don't know what to beleive any more...

im originally from england, and frankly im fed up with the constant whining that eminates from our borders. i say we just leave scotland and wales to themselves and see how they manage. for one thing wed save a hell of a lot of money on the nhs in scotland what with the worryingly high amounts of heart attacks there. and wales pfft, would u miss it? im sorry if i offended anyone but my whole life its been one way drivel directed at england and ive had my share so heres some back.
