Also, at the battle of Zama, his last battle for Carthage (under it's rule at least), Hannibal had many elephants, and tens of thousands of troops. do you think however that he failed, by not taking rome's vital lands and holdings? rome was able to rebuild, and i realise carthage's senate was the reason Hannibal lost, but perhaps he could've taken better advantage of his victories?
