Looks like we both volunteered about the same time, c224!. However, I'm not IN the tournament, that may have had some impact. I too appreciate the offer, though.

Regardless. Okay, folks. I intend to get this moving... here's how:

(SNIP)

Slight Change of plans.

1> Reserves are being recruited now. Once we have 3, the first round game currently in abeyance will be replaced and restarted.

2> I've already contacted the 8 existing winners of the first round to reassure them the tournament IS proceeding, and to be certain they are interested in continuing.

3> Any winner of a round 1 game (existing, in progress, or yet to be made) who does NOT wish to advance will be replaced by the second-place finisher in the game... by order of elimination, or total army count if an objective victory was achieved. ...and so on, if they remain uninterested.

4> The format of this tournament, while unspecified inthe founding post, will use the format of Ghost's prior tournaments:
-----The second round will 2 5-player games, sorted by random.org. Winner of each advances to the finals.
-----The Finals will be a single 1v1 match.

Any questions?

Underlined, bold players won their first round game. If they have not contacted me to confirm their interest in continuing, I request they PLEASE do so at once.

Players in Red have been found to have entered two games. Once apparently solely through tournament founder error, and once though the dual error of a player signing up twice... and it not being noticed.
Regrettably, those players will be ineligible to advance under any circumstances. Sorry, folks.

I will leave the tournament. Summer is getting started and I thought this would have ended way long time ago. Sorry mate.

Okay, I'm headed out of town for 6 days, I'll have limited access until Saturday evening, US central.

We have 9 first round games complete, and the last is nearing finishing. I *MAY* be able to access the site while on the road, in which case I'll make the second-round games. But I may NOT be able to, in which case I WILL make them as soon as I get back. My apologies for the delay, I was hoping they'd be running before I left.

The deadline having passed, and ephisia not having joined Semifinal-B...

The second-place finisher (last eliminated) in Game 6748455 was [player]shaunchef[/player]. He has been invited to, and has taken, ephisia's place in the semi-finals. Both Semifinal games are now running. Good Luck to everyone!

ONE GAME, WINNER TAKE ALL. Best of luck to you both. game goes out momentarily. Game 7244955 for those following along at home. ;)

Due to some incompetence on the part of the replacement organizer (me)... The final game noted above was made on a different map than the entire rest of the tournament, i.e. the WRONG map.

After consultation with both players involved in the finals, the game was replayed PROPERLY.

Game 7248142 is underway, and the winner shall be champion of the tournament.

Indeed. Congratulations to bigpash, champion (twice, even).

Thanks to all for sticking this one out, I'll have to have a mod change the thread title... Have fun, everyone!
