August 1965 - Day Three

Post by nagerous »

The early 60's were quiet... very little happened, the streets of New York finally seemed safe. However, suddenly there was news of two deaths... The first kill, a doctor, had been stabbed in cold blood, no reason behind it apparently other than pure malice. The Barzini's were weakened too after the death of one of their main men Sollozzo. Emillio Barzini had made himself too obvious that he was linked with Sollozzo and was assassinated, being killed by a man dressed as a police officer on the steps of the New York Supreme Court courthouse at Foley Square. The man dressed up ran away before anyone could catch him.

"We must stop these killers" Senator Geary shouted.

In other news, Talapus, Neoteny and PmcHugh have all grown up to be adults...

Rebelman - Doc (Doctor/Mason) has been killed!

Kalishnikov - Emilio Barzini (Barzini Cult Member) has been killed!

Fucking pricks....

No, I knew it was coming after my miserably failed attempt to draw some heat off AD (I know it was stupid but I really didn't wanna loose our DK'er, yea know...) However I was just expecting to be lynched, didn't think I'd be NK'ed. Oh well, seems to be the cool thing to do lately... lol

Anywho, good game gents and ladies. Thanks for having me and modding nag, great game with awesome roles, very well thought out. Go cult/scum, don't care as long as the town doesn't win. 8)

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I can't find Kalish or AD leaving any traces to the cult. The only thing that stood out was Kalish's weird vote and then unvote on Riggable. Maybe they attempted to recruit him but failed?

Anyhow, vote Militant

There is probably also a night investigation worth hearing about as well. Id also be interested in what selin has to say about some of the other things that happened around him yesterday, since he seems quite capable of finding out players.

militant is the early voting prospect, but id also like to see whats out there as far as information for this day.

riggable wrote:Something deep down inside me knows that this site's fondness for Jester-esque roles completely ruins the fun of playing mafia. Whenever I'm sure I've pinned down someone as scum or a good lynch, that little voice in my head begins muttering "the jester WANTS to get lynched"...

I've read the Godfather book, and have watched part 1 of the movie. In neither case can I come up with a character who would really benefit from getting himself killed. Perhaps someone who is better-versed in the book/movie could come up with such a character. Until we can rule this out, I unfortunatley think lynching AD could be a mistake.

The closest I can come up with is if AD is Sonny Corleone, if i remember correctly, whose death might kickstart a mafia feud, like how the corleones went nuts when he was killed in the story. Its a big stretch though...

Again, I must return to this post and Riggable's defense of AD. I have been right about Kalish being AD's scum-buddy and I believe that I'm right here. vote Riggable

Mandy...where does the kalish riggable thing come from then...Do you think they tried to recruit him two nights in a row? And if so, how did kalish get killed if he accepted the recruit the 2nd night, as it doesnt make as much sense for him to vote him right after being recruited.

Im just not sure how riggable, AD, and Kalish would have all been on the same side.

Given that Kalsih's name is Emilio Barzini, I would think that barzini Cult started out with more then just the Cult leader.

13 to lynch!

We should analyze this picture tomorrow for possible other Barzini members. Kalish may be a good candidate.

As rebelman gets that many votes today, / may wish to investigate him tonight. Militant may be another possibility, but I think rebelman is a better choice.

.

Out of the three I named yesterday, two are now dead. The remaining one is militant.

I'm not sure how to interpret the riggable vote of kalish.

Let's wait for /'s investigation result hoping he didn't follow my suggestion

I had investigated Militant, he's clean as far as I can tell, I'd like to hear a claim anyways though, as the role seemed a bit out of place In my opinion, just make sure everything matches up and he's not the godfather or something.

omfg that was a bitch to read, its now 2:29 here what the hell am i doing up?

Ok i dont think we have sufficient reason to believe militant is scum, im getting the feling he is recruitable and thats why / is suspecting something funny with the role, im stil not so sure on him though.

I for now think there are better targets:
Riggable- dont know weather this was genuine consern for jester or an attempt to help scum buddy
Clive- i remember him sticking up for AD, cant be bothered to find it though its what i remember
Sierra- ive played a couple of games with SL and ive noticed he is a very clever town player, who usually has good reason to back up his votes, however in this game there is definately something different about his play and i dont think he is being as clever as he normally is a=with his votes leading me to believe he is doingso deliberately.

For now im going to vote sierra because its what my gut tells me, and also i doubt riggable would have taken such a big risk in what he said and i cant really remember what clive said.
