1: I heard that they stole that idea from nintendo at the last minute ( just wanted to point that out :P )

2: How dose this effect the gameplay? As far as i can tell from first looks it only seems like it would be usefull as cheap ingame gimics and raceing games.

1.and so will microsoft eventually, infact they claim they tried it with the xbox but it wasnt a popular idea.... copying happens all throughout history...*looks hard for example*...Britain had industrial revolution..everyone else copied ..ok bad example...but everyone copies everone otherwise well get constant monoplies once one company find something thats popular

2. Im not an expert on games or anything but looking at it, it looks far easier to control rater than havin to hold an attacment aswell..its everthing the wii got(- light gun thingy) in one controller

one more question ( not supporting either console BTW) does anyone no if the wii has a rumble feature

Rofl yea that was a bad example, But my point was that Sony mite have just thrown that feature on quickly just so that they could say they had it (Allthought i cant just say for and say its a fact :P)

And yes the Wii-mote dose have a rumble pack

Heres is another point supporting the wii, Southpark made fun of it. Anything that southpark makes fun of has to be kewl :P

they probably did but it was probably more to say they ps3 isnt just a graphics update and have a hand over MS then just purley copy nintendos idea....or they had nothing to do with nintendo and were suprised that the then known revolution had it(though i highly doubt that)

oh very good..im guessing its in one of the attachments

got to agree with you that one...unless of course they paid the creators to put it on there

even after this debate ill be getting a ps3 (when they finally release it in europe) because of my unfinished ps2 games that i cant finish becuse my dog decided to use my ps2 as a toilet

Yeah Wii is outselling the PS3 but you cant really say its because everyone love the wii and wants it more.

The ps3 has had shipment issues while the wii is for the most part outshipping sony like crazy.

If you were lucky enough to get a PS3 then happy thanksgiving to you !

wii controllers have rumble, along with a built in speaker and storage for memory that includes records and personal settings.

Yeah... the controller is a bit weird. At first I thought I wouldn't like it, but I tried it at Best Buy, and I discovered I found it much easier to use (once you got the hang of it) than any other controller I've ever used.

Except the SNES controller, which shall never be beaten in it's simplistic A,B, Start, Select, and directional pad for a set of buttons.

i really want... need to try out that controller, because after playing games on sky i have a mindset of remote controlshape=hard to use

I think you are a little confused. The NES controller only has A, B, start, select, and a directional pad. SNES has X and Y, and L and R.

So, I have to pay 22 bucks a month in addition to the 400 i had to drop for the 360?

If I played online games on my console then i'd be interested, but I don't. That's why I have a PC.

$40 = one year of xbox live

actually, it's not that expensive. one year of XBOX live is cheaper than one game!

but its worth two permium CC memberships, when most of us cant afford one.

So I spend $400-500 on the 360, $60 per game, and on top of all that I have to pay an additional $40 a year just for the service to make my 360 backwards compatible and fully functional?

Add on to that that I have to pay money for Xbox live arcade games, and additional features.

f*ck that.

it would be interesting to know the ages of the people that voted in this poll as i am willing to bet the only people that voted for the wii are children under 16

I'm 21 and I voted for the Wii. I've watched every console war from the demise of the ColecoVision on. I've also seen Sony's arrogance and unwillingness to admit when they've fucked up along with Microsoft's inability to gain a foothold in Japan, Mecca of All Things Video and Game.

Personally, the Wii looks like a winner in my book. It has innovation, gameplay, and a price point that could even make Scrooge smile.

The PS3's got backwards compatibility issues, HDTV scaling issues, and it costs more than twice the price of the Wii or the PS2 at launch.
The Xbox360 has more hardware problems than I can count, ridiculous backwards compatibility issues, a crap business model, and forgive me but I don't think a processor heat sink should get so hot that you can cook on it.

You want online games? Buy a decent PC. It may cost a bit more than an Xbox 360, but it'll also last longer and be upgradeable piece-by-piece (no matter how much Microsoft wants to stop that innovation) rather than having to go out and buy a brand new console to play the new-fangled games.

well the 360 is fully compatible. you can burn a cd, and i THINK that they have them backwards compatible now out of the box, please note the THINK part. and fully functional is but an opinion. and as for the arcade and crap, i don;t plan on spending a cent for that crap

It isn't fully backwards compatible [bc] (which is the reason why the PS2 won the last little war). It's got a decent sized list, but it's not 100%. Plus, to get updates for the bc you have to have Xbox Live.

It's a ripoff, pure and simple. They could've simply taken their old Xbox hardware codes, stuck them in the new shell, and been off and running. Unfortunately, they went with a software emulation solution which was a terrible idea to begin with. Then again, if it were hardware based you wouldn't really need to buy the full package, just the core system. Without a hard drive, you'd need a controller pack, but that's no big deal. It's $30 v. $100

Damn you Microsoft!

I know someone who works at a game store and I got to talk to him today, and he said that the Wii and the X-box are about the same with a slight edge to the Wii (price) and the PS3 doesn't even come into the picture

Thank you about time someone said ps3 kicks the other systems asses...yes you all argue cause of the dam price of the system but look at what your freakin getting, the new way of gamming will be the blue ray discs. Give it like 3 years and so and exspecially when the new consoles come out after these ones in like 2013 (rough estimate of year) they will all be blue ray or at least that type of format to fit all the graphic detail and game play detail with all the extra features and stuff. Only reason ps3 is so expensive is because of brand new never before seen or heard of disc format that holds so much more stuff on it. (Just think the blue ray discs can probably hold the lord of the rings discs on it, so like 1 blue ray disc to the 5 dvd's for only 1 movie)

i agree with you there, but you can actually burn a cd, on the site. and i got the hard drive because i will never need to buy a memory card again, that helps. i like how Nintendo actually spent the time to specifically make a slot for Game cube. they really care!!! i want to get a wii. what do the games look like? are they discs, or what? nintendo always makes weird game paks. like the Ds and the 64, G-Cube, etc.

Yes, they are CD-sized (12cm) optical disks. The same slot is used to accept the Wii disks as well as the Gamecube disks. Also, Gamecube controllers are completely compatible with almost every Virtual Console title.
