Were you, or her in any position to raise the child? If not had you mentioned the idea of maybe her giving the child up for adoption? Because if you weren't in any position to raise the child yourself, and she just was hell bent on having the abortion, and wouldnt look at all her options you did all you could do. Thats all anyone can do in life. you know? Look at the options presented to them and try to discuss it with the person it involves. I believe the same thing you do, Life is sacred. The only time an abortion would ever happen with me is if it would kill me to have the child. I feel if your old enough to have the child your old enough to have a job and raise the child. No excuses, you know?
Night. Hope that helped in some way.

It's very easy to take the high road when it's someone else problem.

No, its easy when you believe in absolutes. That there IS a right and wrong.

There are no absolutes, which is why this argument will never finish. And every person, excepting psychopaths, has their own idea of right and wrong. Jay you should start thinking for yourself. No issue is black and white, no matter what george bush or jerry falwell tell you.

Just because I wouldnt ever get an abortion, unles its life threatening... doesnt mean that I dont believe in the woman's right to choose either. I don't believe that an abortion should be used as a method of birth control though. Thats all there is to it on my side. I believe in raising your children to the best of your abilitys. If you can't raise your children, I don't see anything wrong with giving them up for adoption to a couple who really wants a child and are unable to have one on their own. There are plenty of wonderful couples out there that can't have a child and would make excellent parents. you know? My mom was only 22, (my age) when she found out she was pregnant with me, and then she got married 3 days after becomming pregnant. Had my parents not gotten married my father would never have known about me because he was stationed in germany a week after they made me and my mom would have gone to Japan! Okay so i gtg I'll be back later maybe!

more power to you

Well you need to take a reality pill. Your girl was a freakin' psycho. She purposely got pregnant, so she could later demand an abortion?! Believe me...you did the RIGHT thing my friend by letting her make the choice she did.

I was in exactly the same situation...and 20 years, a great marriage and three kids later I still thank my lucky stars for dodging that freak-bullet.

Yeah well my point was this: the father has absolutely NO RIGHTS! Yeah she was a bit psycho, buy not sd my ex-wife I married after that.

Women claim "my body, my right" - well FU cuz that is 1/2 mine.

that's all I have 2 say. I wish they would change the laws to include the father.

umm, i still think that it is over all the woman's right, cause she still has to carry it, give birth to it, and take care of it...even if the man does help...she should listen to what the man wants, don't get me wrong, but over all, she has the final say...
second part...i think abortion is wrong, but the woman should have the right to choose...does that make me pro-life, or pro-choice...i don't agree with abortion, but i think it should be an option...

Technically, that makes you pro-choice.

And in Jay's eyes it makes you a baby-killing, hell-bound atheist.

And when did I ever say being pro-chioce equals hellbound (or even atheist for that matter)?

But you did say that abortion is murder, and we all know murder is a sin.

Plus you also remarked that it is the liberals who are pro-choice and how the liberals attack Christianity. Hence Hell-bound Atheist.
