Does anyone know why this would be?

I don't think it's because of the competetive nature of the game. Chess is more competetive, deeper, and requires greater skill and emotional investment than does Conquer Club. All chess site forums I have seen are much different than forums here.

this is not chess.. this game is about luck and what the other players choose to do against each other that you can take advantage from.. the most strategically skillful player doesn´t always win even when he/she has decent rolls.
I´ve won chess games against much more skilled players but only because they got distracted - cc - oh well i guess i shouldnt comment because i dont really play 1 on 1:s if thats what you mean..
