I've asked those playing to PM me or post their results here, so that I may immediately set up the follow-up challenge. I'll be occasionally monitoring the games to catch those that do not post. Bear in mind that I'm staggering challenges to keep the tournament Freemium friendly.

It took me hours to set up the structure, fill in the names, set up the games, and then send the PMs. Let's have a lot of fun so that I'll be convinced to do something so stupid again.

Each dojo is prob only dealing with one challenger at a time...and you're not first in line. And your also probably not the 3rd most talented student, so the person challenging your dojo has to go through some of your teammates first before they get to you. The spreadsheet for this is going to look pretty complex... which is why I imagine Skyward shadow didn't post something. Still, it would be good to get a list of at least the current challenges...

I have every Dojo in it's own Notepad document... but why not. I imagine it would be more exciting for everyone to see the overall progress. Yet another thing I should have thought of beforehand. This has been a great learning experience for me. If I run a sequel, at least I will have this structure in place. I'm also thinking hard of a way to more evenly spread the number of games out, while remaining true to the "theme" of Dojo Yaburi. My other option would be to choose a new theme...

This is just a chart to demonstrate progress. Please do NOT make any games - I make the games, and then PM the players the details. Do not make any challenges, all challenges are already made. Those who failed to meet any of the deadlines were randomly assigned challenges.

Even the Freemiums wanted a faster pace, so each Dojo is now facing two challenges at a time.

Now that we have two challenges going at once, how do you keep both of them from being successful? In other words, what happens if two challengers simultaneously work their way up to the Dojo Master? Will you just randomly choose one to fight that battle first?

(Issues like this would probably make my head spin--I've got a ton of respect for tourney organizers. )

They would both fight the Dojo master in separate games. A Dojo can be defeated more than one time. I've come to believe though, that more than one Dojo will be undefeated, triggering the exhibition matches.

Here's a chart I did with match-ups & standings. The conversion to image is not the best, but I can send you the spreadsheet if you want to play around with it / use it for updates.

Gotcha. I somehow managed to miss that line in the first post about the winning dojo being defeated the least number of times--for some reason, I thought that once a dojo was defeated, it was knocked out of the tourney.

I like that a lot, but I don't want to update it. I'm happy with my notepad documents, heh. Feel free to keep it going if you like, and I certainly don't mind if players refer to that over my own long chart.

Due to a couple of questions in PM:

All games are PM'd to the participating players. If a Premium player does not join their game within a week of receiving their game info, I will verify that I sent the proper info, and proceed to disqualify the player from that particular game. Freemiums may be given more time, depending.

If I keep things on track, then I won't have more than 2-3 games available for you at a time. Feel free to just keep the 2-3 slots open.
