anyway just in case it's #1 please not the bullshiting part. there will be no AI no autodetect spam, no posts will be lost and no avatars sigs or any attachements will be gone either. the database will simply be converted and we'll have the same forum as before just nicer and with more facilities.


btw wicked if what you say is true (even if we know it's not) maybe you should stop spamming now, just to get used to the idea of a spam free forum.

right? i saw him post, then i started a turn in a trips i'm in with blitz, and some code came up, and my first thought was, "blitz is going to kick my ass, because i didn't give him all my armies before CC shut down..." I tried posting and it came up with a wierd screen saying it was a bug....o well. We know lack is tinkering with something

What's possible?
1) everything she says is 100% true and the forums are no longer fun or full of personality. Most stuff gets deleted and it's bassicly a brand new site again. Except you all still hate me

2) post counts get re-set, I can see this happening because it's a new version of something (just like halo 3 is a new version of halo 2 and 1) so all your stats get wiped but you still have the skill (in this case personality)

3) she is bullshitting us and causing commotion and as um who was it said that thread should get moved because it is spam (partly me)

what is not true?
1) auto ban for spam. There is no way to do this unless you program it to ban your for making a post that just says lol, stfu, or a smiley face. But sometimes posting like this is not spam so lot's of people would be getting banned for no reason.

Does anybody know what they are going to upgrade. I havn't heard anything about this until that message poped up.

You know how you have to type a certain amount for feedback? It'll be the same thing, plus a few more restrictions for the spam auto-kick. So one word posts are out, things like that, which obviously don't contribute to the convo. For the first week or so, you'll just get an automated warning... we're not that cruel to change it all at once!

All the significant threads will be kept, including mafia games and all clan stuff, so don't worry. The rest will be archived, so we can still access them if needbe, or requested.

what about the usergroups and Ad-hoc groups?


And spamalot. that thread is an "important thread". it needs to be saved also.

wicked, the minimum character limit can solve spam by not allowing "lol" type posts. but there's no way to automatically stop spam. it's just a matter finding than limit (let's say 5 characters) and making sure you pass it. like instead of "lol" you post "mega lol"

AI that analyzes posts and stuff like that is impossible (unfortunatelly). stop scaring the kids.
