President Donald J. Trump - having now gone through the crucible and emerged stronger than ever - now has immunity to the coronavirus, while Old Sleepy Joe must continue cowering and hiding. This is an election pitting the strong versus the weak.



While other world leaders like Boris Johnson were ventilated and in intensive care for weeks, the president's superior genes and the fact he was chosen by a higher power for his office saw him suffer nothing more than a minor cough.


Meanwhile, 300 Trump supporters blocked 5th Avenue in filthy New York to force Manhattanites to observe a moment of respect for Trump's recovery.

Sure, he could have done a Joe Biden and hidden in the White House the last five months, a president under quarantine cowering from the Chinese virus.

But, as the president told his old friend Rudy Giuliani on Saturday afternoon, he took the risks he had to take, because “Great generals do not lead from behind. They get out front and motivate the troops.”

If the president bounces back onto the campaign trail, he will be an invincible hero, who not only survived every dirty trick the Democrats threw at him, but the Chinese virus as well. He will show America we no longer have to be afraid.

Normally reserved for patients severely affected by coronavirus (What aren't they telling us?), side effects of Dexamethasone include blood clots, blurred vision, and headaches and “psychic derangements,” such as insomnia, mood swings and “frank psychotic manifestations”. But I'm sure there's no danger in having a president in charge of the nuclear codes who could be having psychotic reactions to drugs. Maybe he'll only tank the DOW by 600 points with a single tweet, because he decided to hold the economy hostage unless he's re-elected. Though he may have reversed that, but who knows - people undergoing psychotic episodes can be so unpredictable.

And no one cares about how Trump lost again in court, and will have to provide his tax returns to a prosecutor. (Unless the Supreme Court bails him out - no wonder he's more interested in rushing another radical judge onto the court instead of trying to help the country recover from his disastrous handling of the pandemic.) Or how Biden leads Trump by 21 points.

I know - let's all talk about Hillary's email server - that's certainly relevant and topical, and totally not desperate! Or maybe we could just talk about whatever Russian disinformation the president wants to spew.

Trump can feel the walls closing in on him. His crimes are being documented, his web of lies is exposed, and his distractions aren't working. He has no friends - only cult members who will drink the cyanide when he says it's time. He has no ideas and no plan to help the country - he's only in this to try to save his own skin from going to prison. (or maybe worse, depending on whom he owes that $421,000,000 to) Even if he resigns, Pence can't pardon him from State charges. He knows his only chance is to try (again) to kill Biden by infecting him with his disease. A virtual debate won't allow him to do that, so there's no advantage for him to face Joe and be spanked once again.

Of course not. His entire strategy is interrupting, yelling, bullying. He has nothing rational to say. Only drowning out his opponent with ceaseless interruptions lets his deranged supporters claim victory. He knows he can't get away with it in a virtual debate.

Well, that one is more complicated actually. It's the fiscal conservatives among the Senate Republicans who won't allow any more stimulus. If it was up to Trump, he would let the bill pass. His grandstanding about not signing a stimulus bill is just an attempt to take a situation he can't control and make it look like it was his idea. One of the lines Micheal Emerling used to use in his seminars is "definition of a politician: someone who waits to see which way the crowd is going, then runs out there and yells 'follow me!' " Trump is still indubitably an asshole, but not in the way that you think.

It a weird one, because the republicans in gov't would probably benefit in the election if they passed a bill this month. I think the rep calculation right now is 'punt' on everything for the next 45 days and then decided if they force a bunch of bill through during lame duck season, or do something entirely different if all the polls turn out to be wrong again and they somehow gain more seats in the houses and keep orange man for another 4 years.
