Heh. That was an intentional poke in response to Bogan's 13-48 subject. :)

Of course, ever since Bogan complained about me taking a full day to update the thread, TOFU has won 7 straight games. Looking forward to another complaint... :P

I guess the 11-0 since bogan s last post might have hurt his little butt. How many times a year am I going to dictate what is appropriate to use as an avatar? It s great being a tyran.

I guess he took his pick up truck, his mullet haircut, his gun and some whisky for a little run in the bayou. He is probably drunk as f*ck shooting kangarous and aborigenes somewhere where no one will find him.

Thank you MC Hammer! In 15-20 years my boy will see this music video and think we were all wearing Hammer pants during the early 90's and I will have to explain to him that I was still wearing my parachute pants from the 80's.

I knew it would've been hard to win against you guys, but surely didn't expected a 11-0 streak...

war during vacation didn't do us well...rushed games and missed turns...
also people couldn't participate because they came from another clan who lost...

i'm sure next time there won't be a 11-0 streak, not even a 6! :D

Huh I was going to ask you if you were really sure if it s from the 90s.... Wiki says released january 1990, so you are a close winner! ;) oh crap, this is 24 years old, I guess it doesn t make me feel too young... But it s incredible how i never get bored of this tacky song! Who doesn t feel like dancing after watching this shit?

And yeah genoke, this was very close until now, let s see if this break works out for us, i don t think we have enough games going clearly our way to secure 31 wins though.

I knew it was 89 or 90 because it was right when I hit high school. Plus, the Detroit Pistons had just won the NBA Championship and this was the song they would always play.

I also know Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice Baby" was out in 1990. I will never forget being a freshmen in high school and being at a cross country meet seeing some Vanilla Ice wannabe running his warm up with a "boom box" on his shoulder and a 12" diameter clock tied around his neck playing this Vanilla Ice over and over. The guy was in our conference and the same year as me and for the next 4 years my team referred to the guy as "Clocker".

I see that MC Hammer won "Rapper of the Year" in 1990. I am guessing the Atlantis boys were more likely Vanilla Ice fans.

Need to post a link now, need to hear some Vanilla Ice.

I believe the streak is now 12 straight wins for TOFU? Is the Atlantis strategy to lure us to sleep and rattle off 17 in a row for the win?

I was only 10 years old back then! But the huge clock around the neck is from public enemy, not vanilla ice! ;)

I had a sheltered life...no MTV (or cable) growing up and Public Enemy would not have been allowed in my parents house. I assure you that Clocker ran his warmup with his clock necklace and Vanilla Ice blasting. That makes that memory even funnier to me now. The clock around his neck was there all season but it disappeared the rest of high school. I have to do an image search now and see if the clocks look the same.

I hate this rule. I guess the reason it's there is to prevent players from switching clans just so that they can stay in the competition but really, how many do that? More often that not, it just prevents players who per chance have switched clans from participating in what their new clan is mostly involved in. Now that the CD's have taken over, there's not even a way to negotiate between 2 clans like there always was in the past.

It would be nice if this rule could change a bit next time around, so that new clanmates don't have to feel left out of the main clan competition.

specially in a competition that can last over one year...guess it would be fair that players would be restricted for just 1 round or if both clans reached an agreement
