@ chuck. Yeah trini is sick but still trying to keep up with the game and keep in the discussion.
Regarding jonty and to a lesser extent Vio - normally I'm suspicious of someone to vote NO LYNCH because I believe a no lynch only favours the mafia since they effectively get a free kill. That being said I understand it being used a bit more in this game since we need to have an active vote at all times... and some people may prefer it to actually voting for another person. I actually see that rule being more dangerous to us later down in the game if it reaches that far since it could more easily lead to a speed lynch with very few players left... I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

The games is going slowly, and I've seen games like this where no one says anything and the clock runs down until its too late to do anything meaningful
Iron Butterfly wrote:who do you think is scummy and why?
Samgrossy, seems to be posting little and of little value.
Redhedge, a bit of bandwaggoning in the jokevote stage.
But these are pretty weak.
unvote, vote no lynch until something tempts my vote to move along.
hmm... jonty wants to move the game along, but wont take any initiative. he simply votes no lynch (something most people think is scummy), and waits for other people to take action.
unvote vote jonty
I'm not willing to vote for a weak case yet, I've voiced my suspicions but I don't feel they're case worthy. I'm just voitng no lynch because I have to have a vote; and if a case is made on the person who my vote is on, and I disagree with the case, they can get to L-2, before I withdraw and falsely claim.
falsely claim?
Maybe claim unnecessarily early, is a better explanation of what I'm trying to say.
at this stage jonty almost seems to be wanting to rush towards something,.. which seems to be to avoid a hasty decision later on but we still have time so I agree that we need more discussion.. Day 1 is always difficult because we have so little to go with. What really has me concerned is that falsely claim comment. his attempt at an explanation is not extremely encouraging... it may be a scum slip or it may simply be some unfortunate terminology.
This is day 1 and we don't have much to go on... jonty seems to be the biggest possibility so far not counting inactives so for now I have to go with Major FOS on jonty for
1 - voting no lynch, (relatively minor reason)
2 - the falsely claim comment (much more of a concern to me)
minor FOS on Vio for voting no lynch

Thank you guy's for giving me a leave of absence. I'm back. I have read every thing and I have really nothing to add. do we weed out or hit up some of the Inactive? I think I need to go re-read everything just one more time to really get caught up.

wb Count... I hope your rl emergency has been sorted out... in a good way at that.
I'm not fully better but I am improving.. I'm back out to work today so I will be able to keep up a bit more. I've done a bit of checking so far and my candidates for possible scummarining etc are as follows: FOS to them for now
pancakemix - last posted Aug 7
Campin_killer - last posted Aug 8 but hasn't really posted much so far (and you are not welcome for me missing my turn... it was certainly not intended but that's what the flu does sometimes)
redhedge - last posted Aug 6 and just seems to be jumping all over the place with votes.... possible bandwagonning
jonty with his falsely claim post
our mod for editing his post
betiko has not posted at all since his sign up post as far as I can see - he hasn't even confirmed. Our mod says that he has a turn sitter and should be back in a few days... so i have no idea where to classify him right now.
slight suspicion due to no lynch voting (as I said I expect it a bit more in this game at least early on so I don't see it as so much of a scum tell as I would normally view it)
jonty
VioIet
it means that jonty has triggered my scumdar the most followed by redhedge followed by the rest of the list... not much to go on overall but its day 1 so I don't really have much to go on here.

I suppose that this is not a huge deal, since Betiko isn't close to being lynched. However, I say we give him some time to return. It's seems legitimate that he went out of town, being that he has an account sitter. This is not your normal case of scumarining, and Betiko tends to be active when he is around.
Since pcm is the true veteran player out of all of us, I did expect more out of him. Once he realized that he was in this game, he should've become a bit more active. Just one post to come in here and say, "oh crap, I'm in this," but nothing else since then. It just doesn't seem like pcm. FOS on him for now.

for the record guys, you always need your vote to be somewhere, you can't just unvote like that. FOS sam and campin for this.
also doom, can you not edit votecounts; this is a total nonesence for a scum game. you are confusing us all.

unvote vote campin it is clearly stated in the OP that you must have a vote placed at all times. I even joke voted violet for not casting a vote. Samgrossy in turned busted my balls about being a rules guy. Jonty and violet both voted no lynch and said they were doing it just because they had to have a vote on something. Yet somehow you are oblivious? My bet is that you are scum and have just been skimming.

just above the spoiler labelled "rules", there is the following:
b) Your first post of the day must include a vote and unvotes are not allowed. This doesn't mean you can't change your vote, just that you must always have one. Vote no lynch is a valid option. I won't modkill or anything over this rule, but please remember that by signing up you agree to follow the rule.

Remind me to do a better job next time. The rules are the rules, and I broke one.

Thanks Betiko for pointing it out. Make sure you point out all the people that haven't posted everyday, too, as that is a rule too.
You and chuck should form a rules committee.
Because I am such a horrible rules follower, for now I will
VOTE COUNT B since him and I seem to have a lovefest of sorts in mafia games.
Sorry for breaking the rules, Mr. Mod.

In that case, why would you mention skimming? If you indeed are neither trying to defend nor attack Campin, I see no need to have affirmed his skimming. You could just simply say, "I don't like that rule." You mentioning skimming makes it seem as though you were giving Campin a pass- whether that be your intention or not.
Though I feel that every well-meaning player has missed a detail or two at least once before, I find this miss by Campin to have been rather blatant. There quite a few posts about this rule. In fact, it was on the same page where Campin stated:
Campin_Killer wrote:But trini, that was fun, cause now you're outta there

and Lovo also stated:
lord voldemort wrote:Bad rule is bad....
How could all of that have been missed? It's not like this thread is that long yet.
