Wow this is serious haha. Sorry for not posting earlier... it was a busy day. So, after reading the 5 pages I missed I understand how and why I got the BS newbie votes. At this point I will hold my vote until I read a little more into everything because there seems to be some serious topics here.

Yep, I agree with Deuces... seems like I missed the bandwagon on jokevotes, so I'll withold a real vote for a little longer as I pick up the intelligent and ever-increasingly-complicated strategies that seem to be abounding here.....

And on the other hand, if you believe that, you should re-examine your strategy. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Rex the Dinosaur from Toy Story, and think that any skeletons in his closet should stay there. I vote eagleblade

Can you elaborate a bit on this, Zimmah? Without coming right out and saying what you think his role is - if you want. I can't decide what to make of the relatively... uh... erratic things he's posting.

I'm reading all this, and struggling to understand what is being said (and not being said); I'm leaving my vote where it is, because I don't have a stronger suspicion of anyone else yet.

Something that I really don't get at all is this tiptoeing around about what eagleblade may or may not be - why can't we clearly speculate on what his role might be? I assume that there is at least one experienced player who is a bank robber, so they can easily draw the same winkwink, nudgenudge conclusions that experienced town players can. So instead of fooling the bank robbers, we end up with me, and possibly others, confused, while the bank robbers can talk privately, and will have access to the knowledge of their most experienced player... (the bank robbers can indeed talk privately to each other, can't they?)

I do find it notable that it is Zimmah who is saying things under the guise of serious analysis that are almost certain to confuse a newbie, almost as though he is trying to confuse me specifically. It is not my intention to keep on about Zimmah, but he continues to say things that seem off to me...

i kinda did, a few posts ago, it has something to do with being able to stop the bad guys from doing bad things.

even tho i seriously doubt he's on our side. he's lying all over the place. or at least, that's how he seems to me, his statements change very often. now he claims he doesn't have an interesting role, while a few posts ago he did have an interesting role, and he's bored now and then he has a plan and then he's bored again.

we don't have anything to gain from having him in the game in my opinion.

Now that the cat is out of the bag and some players are curious, Zimmah was thinking Eagle was softclaiming roleblocker. It looks like Eagle thought of blocking me and if he died the only possible explanation was that I did not kill him, thus I have to be town. While the conclusion would be correct, the thought process behind it is flawed because traditionally mafia has multiple members and only 1 carries the kill. You can block mafia member 1 just to find out the kill was carried by, say, mafia member 2.

@Cat: mafia usually gets to talk during the nightly period. Sometimes, albeit rarely, they can also talk during the day

As far as Eagle's behaviour, it does look jesterishly, but I'm not sure what to make of it. It's more common than what you may think that someone will seem to play so bad that people think "they must be a jester", but I don't think I've ever seen one in a non-RT game.

In my opinion a Jester would be and should considered a complete waste of time game play unless there are other stipulations included. From my understanding a jester is a role that is independent and if killed wins the game.

If eagle is a role blocker he would be completely useless to town and a benifit to mafia regardless of alighnment on day one. Considering his game play I consider him a complete liability. If he is town Mafia can work around him and use him to their advantage as he would be using his power blindly.

I have not played with him before so I dont know if this is a Scripted Role or his personality in playing such a game. I do see there was a small problem with his attitude when deuce joined, which had to be corrected by Sully so I suspect hes a bored kid.

So eagle softclaims roleblocker hmm. Well mafia could perfectly well have a roleblocker (probably the most common mafia power role after GF) and eagle just keeps saying VOTE RODION and provides no logic behind this and then gives a poor reply to when I called him out (even if someone had to prod him)

There is no way in understanding how you think! Is it possible that there are roles that have an objective to be killed to win? If so, we must be careful with voting him. If not and confirmed by several here, my vote is going to eagle. I really don't see the use of someone like him in this game.

Yes, Jester wins if lynched on D1 (or it might be just being lynched). The game won't end and I doubt eagle is as he claimed he could stop the mafia killing him (I believe he could be roleblocker)
