I think we have at least one experienced player in mafia. Wicked and Mac were clearly taken out because of how well they know the game. That's something that only an experienced player who has played with both before would do.

i still think these people:

Kokunai
trestain
Roger Dodger
for dummies

have some 'splainin' to do. this does not mean anyone else is off the hook, but there's something scummy in this group.

Please bear with me while I get up to speed.

supercram wrote:someone is offing players with "perceived" experience. i think obenkende was a serial killer/vigilante kill.

This is definitely one of the more spot on things I've seen in the last few pages. Plus it's the same weird unknown thing for both mach and wicked, but we know what onbenkende's role was. One person/group killed one, one the other. Maybe the second party tried to kill on Night One but was thwarted by the doctor.

But onbenkende had some mild-to-medium heat on him, so I'd be more inclined to say vigilante than serial killer, in which case it would behoove us to try and get him a solid lead (other than today's lynchee) for the nighttime.

As far as who the first party, the vet-killers, might be... it's a long list of suspects. even cross-referenced with the nyvek voting list it's still a longish list. Yeah, there's probably mafia in that 5-6 person group, but who?

Where are we going to find that third piece of evidence?

No worries cram....

And, you know, not to pass the they-haven't-posted-in-awhile baton, but there are a few people on those various lists (kokukai and senfive spring to mind, tho I'm sure there are at least a couple others) that still haven't contributed.

But given the constraints of biology and economics, I'm willing to wait a few hours for everyone to wake up/get out of school/knock off work/amble home from the methadone clinic/whatever... just to make sure we get it right.

bullsh*t. for townies, mafia thread comes first. it's a question of SURVIVAL.

mafia can afford to be lazy and get "sleep" and go to "work" etc.

I searched on teh MAfiascum wiki, and either a hider is someone who can be protected if hiding in a pro-town spot, or someone immunine to night kills on even numbered nights. Which it was an even numbered night, so the second option is out.

http://www.mafiascum.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl/GL_Role

NEar the bottom it says what a hider, is. Which means only 1 real kill happened. Which means there is only one group of mafia, and one of them must of been someone onbenkende could trust.

maybe Xen Hu and Senfive, i haven't seen Senfive post in forever

I was sleeping. I wake up to 10 pages to read. Give me time.

mafia finding technique.. the more nights an experienced person dies the more deeply entrenched that idea becomes.. then if non experienced people start dieing look at the experienced people left, and they must be mafia..

The hider thing is veeerrrry interesting. there are two possibilities: either the hider/commuter role REQUIRES the person to seek refuge with someone, in which case onbekende may have just taken a blind stab and gotten lucky, or the hider/commuter can CHOOSE to seek safety, in which case onbek trusted someone and was proved wrong. Of course, onbek may have trusted the wrong person even if required to choose a person to shelter with.

The wiki on the role is short, and it says 'may hide out', which implies choice.

so now the investigative question is, who could onbekende have trusted?

sooooo... by your logic, the only people that can be townies are cyborgs with trust funds... that's not a lot to go on.

dude we didn't lynch you. mafia (or serial killer) (or vigilante) killed you. how is that our fault?

a simple "Bah!" would have sufficed.

In all seriousness, I don't recall anything in the day one thread that seriously links onbekende to anyone. I hate to speak ill of the dead, but the most negative toward onbek was wicked, but mostly because onbek's posts were a bit muddled.

Maybe we need to take another look at day one.
