Fog of War Territory Log

Postby chewyman on Mon Dec 31, 2007 8:32 pm

I've just realised that when somebody deploys on a territory the game log never tells you which territory. Even if your territory is adjacent to the one that received the deployment. I noticed this when blue deployed on Guatemala when I own Panama on the World 2.1 map. Is this on purpose?

I thought fog of war was supposed to only have an effect on non-adjacent territories. I therefore think enemy deployments should appear in the game log, provided of course you own an adjacent territory.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

in your own game log it says what countries you deployed on and others can't see that. I think that they could make it so that only players with adjacent countries could see it on the game log, and no one else.

If you use that logic why have a game log at all?

In some games you might be adjacent to 50 or more territories, how are you supposed to remember how many armies are on each?

In fog of war games everybody's game log is different. Obviously the deployment would only show for those who had an adjacent territory to the territory deployed on.

This has been suggested before, and rejected mostly for practicality. It would be quite taxing to include this into the game logs. I don't know the technicals, so perhaps somebody moor smrtr can come and clear it up.

I still can retrieve useful information even if the number of countries deployed don't appear
