What you should do is put it in the bank for a year then you can live off the intrest and get a part time job to keep you from spending your money 24/7. At least I would do that

I'd pay off all my debts, take a leave of absence from work, head out west, and find myself.

Spend the rest of my life being a student and dying at the age of 85 with a dozen academic degrees in various fields of sciences and humanities.

Buy a ridiculous amount of bottled water and pork pies, fly out to Africa personally and spread it around various poor villages.
Like hell I'd trust some charity to do it.

Why is there no, "I'd construct an underground bunker that locks from the inside with steel doors so that no one could get in. (unless of course they flew a plane into it) Then stockpile it with years worth of dried foods and caned goods and lots of bottled water." option?
