... you gotta be kidding me. Read what you see. Figure out the difference between the two.

Or am I feeding the trolls here?
I was a major back when 1600 was major. Now that I'm back, I get to easily win a bunch of games to get my rank. Thank the 'tards here who suck at this game.

I already answered this today in a different thread, but if the score is tied, whoever joined first is listed first.

It isn't based on more games played?

It could be, theres like 3 things I remember lack saying about this, but I dont remember the order they go in. You could be right too, unfortunately both of our guesses are correct right now tho.

My question is..

In the end, does it really matter? The tie is very very temporary.

Pretty sure its number of games played

1001 itfcmn 1060 90
1002 LEONE 1060 45
1003 a1b1 1060 5
1004 86% Gypsy 1060 1
1005 kbchilla 1059 287
1006 Lkysam 1059 14
1007 Timboa844 1059 11
1008 BiteMe 1058 79
1009 PBAndrew 1058 43
1010 blackhawk3 1058 17
1011 GodSmack 1058 1
1012 Hooperjetc 1057 19
1013 De Prins 1057 18
1014 JerseyPsyc 1057 10
1015 Craft 1057 5

Thats from the scoreboard, in all cases its the person who has played more that is ahead. 3rd column is score, fourth column is games played.

well well... I didn't mean to cause a fuss...

I assumed it was because he was already #5 and I moved up from behind... so it makes sense to me that I'd be listed under him...

But it won't change until I finish a game, as he has NO active games going...

it should be

I just reviewed the scoreboard and there are 45 ties, and even some triple ties, in the top 250 (Wow... 93 people, or 37%... who would've guessed there would be that many ties).
But the point is that in EVERY case the player with the most games was listed 1st. In one tie where the game count was the same, it was the player who had joined 1st that was on top.

Conclusion... Everybody is telling me I am Number 6, just like in "The Prisoner".

The opening title sequence begins with a visual of a cloudless blue sky and the incongruous sound of thunder. As the theme music begins, the view pans down to reveal the future Number 6 driving in his Lotus Seven to arrive at the office of a superior, before whom he mounts a fierce (but inaudible) argument, apparently ending in his resignation. The hero then drives home. Returning to his flat, he quickly packs his possessions, including photographs of a tropical white sand beach (possibly a clue to his intended destination). A hearse pulls up and a tall pallbearer approaches the front door. A white gas then floods the room through the keyhole, which renders Number 6 unconscious. The hero awakens in the Village, whose decor and people are of peculiar nautical style and bright colours.

The following dialogue exchange runs over the opening titles of most episodes. The questioner is Number 6 and the respondent is Number 2, the Village chairman, a role occupied by a different man or woman in almost every episode (some actors played the role multiple times — as the reference to the "new Number 2" indicates):

"Where am I?"
"In the Village."
"What do you want?"
"Information."
"Whose side are you on?"
"That would be telling.... We want information. Information!"
"You won't get it."
"By hook or by crook, we will."
"Who are you?"
"The new Number 2."
"Who is Number 1?"
"You are Number 6."
"I am not a number — I am a free man!"

Wouldn't it make more sense to award it to the one who played the least number of games, since they achieved that score in fewer games.

well the same sort of logic can be said about the person with more games...

They've played more games so they have been able to keep their score up.

Down at the 1000 point area you are nearly always tied with someone, so its not always temporary. It was at most a week ago when you had 100 less posts.

Well he is averaging (for his career) 25 posts a day. So yeah, a week ago he would have have almost 200 less!
