Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

1. deadbeat/ turn-skipper
2. suicider
3. can't play and makes horrible mistakes that unbalance the game.

i have all 3 types on my ignore list. and i don't care if people say i'm wrong i still want to enjoy my games and there's nothing worse than a guy who slams his 40 troops against your 40 troops just to break your +2 bonus in an escalating game when the trade ins are at the 30-50 value. that's idiotic and deserves ignore. same goes for a guy that plays with his heart not his brain and goes suiciding on you just because you broke his south america bonus.

but getting on an ignore list can come from various other reasons like trash talking, alliances, disclosing locations in fog of war.

i can't say putting somebody on ignore solely based on score is right or wrong. it depends on the situation.

for example i start 100 1v1 public games and a cook starts joining all of them. i'd have to win 95% of those games to break even and that's impossible. so i'd put him on ignore. is that wrong? i don't know. but i'd do it. but only if i had to win such an insanly large amount of games. if we're talking about something like 70% then i'll take the risk and play.

all very reasonable although i the instance of the cook it might be nice to ask him first and if that fails then put him oin ignore - anyway DiM anyone that looks thrugh your games you have played players of all ranks and skill levels including me so you dont seem to use your ignore to block us low rankers in general from joining games with you - you only put people on ignore where you have a good reason to - not just because of their score which is what this thread's author complained about - a sentiment i share.

i have never put somebody on my ignore list just because of rank.
in fact i was just talking on pm about the people on my ignore list and here's what i told her:

btw i don't put players on ignore randomly. i only have 27 people on my list:
13 are cheaters (that no longer play so i can safely remove them except for krusher(he still plays))
6 are freestyle abusers
4 suiciders
4 have extremely bad feedback (for various reasons)

i have on my list all sorts of rank ranging from cook to brigadier.
in fact i have only one cook on ignore and that's because he has 5 positives and 35 negatives (deadbeat, suicider trash talking bad sport, etc)

and regarding my example with 100 1v1s it won't work to ask him by pm because by the time he reads it he can join all the games. so i'd rather ignore him then talk to him and remove from ignore.

I have had a score down in the 800s on several occasions, but it had nothing to do with terrible gameplay. I simply ran into some bad luck with both dice and drops all at once, and lost 600 or 700 points in about a week or so. If I found out that someone had put me on their ignore list simply because of my low score, I would lose respect for them. I may not be the best player around, but I can certainly hold my own, and to be lumped into a group with the players that truly are terrible is insulting.

I have occasionally ignored people for kicking my arse repeatedly until I figured out what I was doing wrong, mostly temporarily and for the 1vs1 scenario DiM describes (since I occasionally start a dozen or so open 1vs1's).

If everybody comes up with all these reasons to ignore people, the ignore list is going to very soon ruin this site. It means fewer people getting to play in multiplayer games, especially 8 player games. And as people get mad about being ignored for no reason, many will leave the site and not buy premium.

I wasn't able to join an 8 player speed game because I was on Scott-Land's ignore list. I decided to be reasonable about it, and PMed him asking him to remove me just for this game, as it is impossible for someone to screw up an 8 player freestyle speed game. He told me something along the lines of "no way, you're record here is terrible". I just thought it was a shame that someone with such a high rank would ruin this site for others.

actually your existence ruins the site for others that's why you are on so many ignore lists, that's why you have so many negatives and that's why you get flamed by everybody.

Nonsense. There are over 10,000 active users on this site. Surely there are at least 1,000 that don't have you on their ignore list... yet.

Perhaps if you're so sore about being on so many ignore lists, you should change how you act and what you say in games? I've seen your feedback, I've read your game chats, there's good reasons you're on people's ignore list. So either stop whining about it or change how you play. Either way, accept it and move on.

Dude if you didn't deadbeat and if you didn't "forget" about speed games than you would not be on ignore lists

Actually I haven't deadbeated in a long time. Check my feedback, tell me when the last decent negative feedback was.

I have been told I have been put on someone's ignore list.

But I have no one on mine. must be why I am always on a rank roller coaster. but I have met a lot of good players that way. and will not ever put anyone on my ignore list.

every neg you have is decent and well everyone knows anyway that you are a bad player. You take your turns slowly if at all, you do your homework and "forget" about speed game. You get distracted by Youtube in speed game you deadbeat you play poorly. That's why you are on people's ignore list

if you are to quote me, then quote me correctly-- most of the players i put on ignore are the ones who suicide and randomly attack big stacks of mine.

i said ' no way-- your past history inside games and forums are not tolerable.'

no where did i say anything about your record............

and if you haven't noticed, i'm no longer a high ranked colonel not that it matters because that's how i lost those points. in freestyle games to lower ranked-- i've never been one to exclude anyone for their rank.

i have 9 people on my list, none due to rank. in fact, one of the best players i have come across lately is a freemium muffin that is more than a handful in every game we have played against each others teams.-0

It's not ganging up on anyone. All players have the right to refuse to play with some players. It's the same exact discussion we had in another forum.

If I come here for fun, why should I deal with players that I do not enjoy playing with ? I don't discriminate by rank...heck, I can't seem to stay above 1800 points these days for some reason (pipe down, Incandenza!). I do however choose not to play with people that have been deadbeats, missed many turns, are abusive, or just are annoying to me. That's my choice and there's nothing to discuss.

Stop with the persecution complex. This thread was about people putting others on ignore list by rank. You make it to most other people's ignore lists for your actions and words. It's as simple as that.

So, that said, why don't we go back on topic, Mr. Wrestler1ump ?

It's spooky how you totally read my mind there.

And for the record, I wouldn't play against whump either. It's all about cause-and-effect when it comes to this site. Acting like a horse's ass in the forums is just as sure a way to get on a lot of ignore lists as irrational play.
