I might actually register under independent at this point. My reason? I'd rather throw away my vote by rooting for a guy who won't win than throwing away my vote by voting for the person who'll ruin this country (moreso than it already has been)

I think you are misconstrued on the term "ruin"...how can you ruin a rotten apple? How can you patch old clothes with new cloth? Should we put new wine into old wine skins? No. To put Ron Paul into power, we need to make the commitment to establishing the United States as a nation that abides by its own laws and constitution. We would have to take the old government and all its unconstitutional programs and scrap them. Start anew! You scared? You contradict yourself. Paul is registered as a Republican, so you encourage people to register as such. However, if he's not the nominee, you'll switch parties and vote for Obama? If you agree with Obama's liberal ideas, then vote for him in the first place. There is no way Paul wins the nomination in the Republican party. No chance. So just go with Obama if you believe in him.

Dude...I am a Republican that wants Ron Paul to be the Republican nominee. I am voting for him in the primaries. If Ron Paul makes it, then I will remain Republican and vote for Paul, but if he doesn't make it, I am dropping the party (probably become Libertarian) and vote Dem. Obama would be my choice. That should make sense to you.

I don't understand how that makes me contradictory?

It doesn't make any sense to me. If you are a Republican, why would you consider the Democrat for President? Republicans stand for certain things, Democrats stand for certain things. Surely you must know this. Why try to rally people to the Republican Party, only to tell them after the primaries "Never mind, I find I'm actually going to vote Democrat, please join me here. You're flip-flopping parties in the middle of an election cycle. If it were your personal choice, I wouldn't care. But you're actively recruiting people (or attempting to) to a certain party. It makes you look bad to then abandon those you recruited to the party, and vote for the other side. Can't you see the irony here? You'd be better off voting some random third party candidate than vote for Obama or any other Dem, if you really are a Republican now. Anyway, those are my thoughts.

I am afraid it is you who are not making any sense, sir. You see, my party is beginning to fail me, and Ron Paul is the last glimmer of hope of restoring our party to where it was meant to be. It is not hard to understand.

I am asking others to join the Republican party, so that we can have a fighting chance to get Ron Paul into the Presidency. If that fails, that is it for me. I am not supporting the Republicans anymore, and I would encourage all those who decided to join the Republicans because of me, to also consider leaving the party.

This is where the split in the party begins, it has been happening for a while now. All because it was infiltrated by NeoCon global dominance groups (GDG).

If Republicans can't see that they lost their way, then I am of no more help to them. I will be happy to stay as far away from that party as possible, but I won't be joining the Dems anytime soon.

If such is the case that Ron Paul does not make it, then unfortunately (as much as I don't like it) I will cast my vote for Obama...unless there is a third party candidate, but I don't see one popping up right now.

I am not being contradictory, I am being a realist. I have prepared my voting strategy for what may come. Everyone is an adult and can make their own choices, this just happens to be my choice. The choice that makes the most sense to my belief system. And my belief system has become so diametrically opposed to the NeoCon frame of mind that I will cast my vote for the best candidate of either the Dems or Republicans that would get the NeoCons out of power. And it just so happens that the only Republican candidate that is not a NeoCon is Ron Paul.

If this still does not make sense to you, God help you, sir!
