I don't agree with the idea of just picking a random victim at all. Although day 1 is always filled with random votes and joking around, it usually gives some clues in the end. Especially with cena saying:

there's no need to treat this any different from a day 1 in any other mafia game. In fact, it's easier to put pressure on people this way, because you don't have to be afraid of them being quick-lynched!
