i want to open some games here, but which map is most popular at 1800+ players??

Based on the games that are still waiting, and the games the people joined fast on my terminator games, people seem to like the more basic maps the best. Especially those that most closely match the 42 territory classic.

Examples of a Basic map are:
Classic
British Isles
Germany
Middle Earth
Brazil
Alexander's Empire
Europe
USA
Canada

The maps they seem to stay way from are the really big, confusing maps. I didn't open games for all of these, but I would assume that would include:

Age of Merchants (unless it's DIM

)
Battle for Australia
Battle of Actium
CCU
Chinese Checkers
D-Day: Omaha Beach
Discworld
Madness
King of the Mountains
Pearl Harbor
Rail USA
Solar System
Space
USApocalypse
US Senate
Valley of the Kings
World 2.1
WWII (any)
