I thought it was "je ne sais quoi" (i.e. a certain "I don't know what", an undefinable quality), not "je ne sais pas". But whatever.

That's a lie, I called for an ip ban, but it should be noted that I am fanatical and map foundry exclusive anyways.

moderator = mod squad (i.e. the ones who actually give bans and know what kind of bans are given)

You're just an ass.    (sorry, couldn't resist!)

Exactly. I'm surprised that they can't take a little comment from me, after all the crap they put me through in flame wars.

Flame Wars is meant to put people through crap. If you don't like it, don't go there. And bonita hadn't even talked to you in in Flame Wars. All she did was put you on her ignore list, and, as you can clearly see by your actions, it was perfectly justified. If you didn't treat people so poorly, they wouldn't put you on their ignore lists.

It is not justified to put someone on their ignore list when all they do is make a move that you don't agree with. And yes I was wrong to not post that in flame wars. Next time I'll say it in flame wars, because apparently anything goes there.

Why exactly does there need to be any reason at all for putting someone on their ignore list ? It's not abuse of anything to make it so you don't have to play or read game comments from a player.

Ignore lists are a personal choice - some people use them, some people don't. Either way, it's an individual's choice whether or not they want to add someone.

Well then, you should have proved to her that you didn't belong on her ignore list, rather than going around flaming her. Also, if you want Flame Wars shut down, stop posting in there. What you're doing is trying to shut down a company by purchasing their products.

What I did was wrong. Obviously the rest of the forum should not have to put up with the drivel that goes on at flame wars, so I was out of line insulting txbonita in the Cheating and Abuse Reports part of the forum. And yes it was hypocritcal of me. I can't deny it.

But Pinkyandthebrain, I am very disapointed in you for reporting me for it. I thought you and I were on good terms.

I do think that overall we are taking this issue too seriously. I flamed outside of flame wars. It's certainly not a good thing, but for 2 mods on here, plus twill to be coming down hard on me for it is a bit much. Plus this post made me mad:

In this case we're probably lucky if either one gets banned from the forums at all much less full out account/post deletion and ip banishment.

I am offended that someone, especially a moderator, would want me to be banned from here. That's taking things way too far if you ask me. A short forum ban at max.

And don't refer to me as "whump". That's a flame, and that should stay on flame wars. Curmudgeonx is pretty much as guilty as I am.

Anyways, won't happen again guys. But I think some of you do owe me an apology...

Are you serious?!?! I think you might have been under the influence while writing this post. First off, nobody is so special that they would be "offended" if someone reported them. You aren't the mod's golden child, stop acting like it.

Why do we owe you an apology? You said something horrible, worse thatn most flames, and you want us to apologize to you?

What I said was not worse than most flames. It was actually very easy going on my part, but it was posted in General Discussion which was wrong to do. I take way more abuse, day in and day out, than what she did. So I am not sorry.

Maybe I'm different than most people here, but I find it a very rude gesture to put someone on their ignore list. Kind of like getting turned down by a chick at a bar (I know the feeling). Or having someone hang up the phone on you (I know the feeling).

The reason the ignore list upsets me the most is because if there is a game that I really want to play, I can't play it because of this individual who has me on their list. What this site should do instead is allow people to join games even if they are on someone's ignore list, and then notify the ignorer via PM that this individual is in their game. Then the ignorer can choose to drop out of that game. I am paying 20 dollars to play on this site, and don't need anybody ruining it for me.

wrestler,

If you don't like what's being said in flame wars don't go there! You will be left alone, if you don't go and spew your words there.

Flame wars is only fun, if you can take what you dish out.

IT's meant to stay there.

How can you get so upset about someone saying lies, and then be so heartless and mean to someone who has lost a loved one?

The ignore list a good thing, you see, You go into people's games and spew stuff that nobody want's to see also. That's why you are on ignore also.

I don't want to see what your saying in my games.

People reported what you were doing, and when they did, they were told to put you on ignore.

You think your so picked on! But the only place your picked on is in Flame Wars. People don't put you on ignore to pick on you! They put you on ignore because they don't want to deal with you anymore.

I don't care if you go into flame wars, anybody is welcome to post there, but when you do, and then you cry and whine that you are picked on, you just get picked on worse.

IF Flame wars isn't fun for you, don't go there.

And nobody owes you any apologies.

Let's take this scenario: I, too, am paying for premium. When I set up public doubles or triples game, I don't want to be bogged down by people that miss turns excessively or deadbeat. So when someone does that, I put them on my ignore list so that next time around, they can't play in those games again and slow down the gameplay.

I don't want them ruining my fun by missing multiple turns or deadbeating. Does that make it wrong to add them to an ignore list?

Some people use it for more personal things. I have when I've found a particularly abusive player in chat. Coming here and playing is what I do for fun. I don't want to have to deal with that sort of thing in my recreation time. Is that wrong ?

What this comes down to, since we're in the abuse forum, is that this is a tool provided by the site. It isn't being abused when one uses it how they choose.

I can't figure out why you would want to play games with someone you seem to dislike so much, though.

That puts the burden on us, the people who DON'T make multi's and talk trash ALL the time. That's unfair.

YOU made multi's,
YOU talk trash,
YOU get blocked.

If you want a game, make your own, and the rest of us won't be able to join, because we chose not to play any game made by you when we put you on our ignore list.
When I snap, you'll be the first to go!

Wrestler,

In the last hour or so you've managed to drag approximately twenty old Flame Wars threads back from the dead.

So I'll resurrect this one.

What did you do that for? Having a little fun?

The act's gotten a wee bit old you know.....
