Foe List for Game Join

Postby KoolBak on Wed Mar 29, 2006 1:12 pm

I know lackattack has tons on his plate, but here is a sugestion that works well in ebay (I know they are not the same...).

I would like to start a new game that is NOT private to allow a wider range of folks in / take a chance with new recruits, but there are a few established players that I absolutely refuse to play with and I do not want them joining...maybe a line item in the new game section where you could list players names you do not want joining...very similar to disallowed bidders list in ebay....

An idea for what it's worth....

I would completely agree with that. As a rookie, I want to play with rookies and have a chance of winning instead of majors and even sargents coming in and boosting their points without giving us rookies a chance

Friends?

Postby PaperPlunger on Fri Apr 14, 2006 5:55 pm

I was just wonderin... Now that we have an ignore list, could a friends list be integrated too (obviously it can, you catch my drift)? It would maybe just say when you click it, online or offline in the fun conqier club green and red circles. That way you could tell if friend was online (duh!) and could request some games! I just thought it would be cool, plenty of other usesz too, use your imagination :P.

Pretty subtle, took me a minute to get it. I'm familiar with the picture so I started looking for the piggies, then it dawned on me when you plan to kiss and make up with duggy...lol

If yer an old guy like me and scarus, you would remember when that "record" came out! Yes, an actual vinyl, giant, crappy sounding spinning disk....

It is Pink Floyd Animals, and (if I remember correctly...altzheimers and all) they had a giant infaltable pig for the shoot that tore loose and floated around over England (?) for some time.....

Great pic!

Absolutely. Dark Side of the Moon has to be one of the greatest albums ever, although Animals gives it a good run for its money...

Time

Postby Scarus on Sat Apr 15, 2006 1:23 pm

I find that I can identify with this much more strongly now than I did ten or twenty years ago....

Time
(Mason, Waters, Wright, Gilmour) 7:06

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,

Hey PP! What was the topic of this thread anyway?

I feel bad about taking over this thread. I think it started out with a valid suggestion. Yes it would be cool to have a friend's list, or even a little onsite messaging proggy that could be used in conjunction with your friends list.

If you want to continue with the rest of this irrelevance why don't you join us over on the longest thread, thread in the off-topic section.
