i got my collie from a ranch that takes in collies.
I had no idea about them, but learned that she is collie and setter and smart as a whip.
she also has emotions, almost human in fact, she can sense when someone in the family needs some loving or hurt.
its fucking amaizing cuzz ive rasied german shepards and "male dogs" so to speak and collies and old english sheepdogs kick there asses in an all around dog. they are also very territorial and will protect you to a point.
granted a pit bull or pincher will do more damage but collies dont kill the wrong target, or any in fact, but will scare the shit out of burgler etc.
That would be a good mix. Any idea what kind of setter? (Irish, English, etc.)
*i think thats how u spell it. i love my dog, heaps loyal and medium sized, plus ive trained her well, fetches, sits, shakes, rolls over, plays dead, fetches the newspaper...its a good dog
