If we're basing it on music, then it would be the 80's.

Moreso than hard rock would be thrash metal and the like for me.

i voted 80s if were basing it on music....by far the best era
though your definition of this era of music is a bit weird...id go more hip hop era..

I'd say 90s more for that. But half of it I personally don't consider music, while some of it (though not very good) is actual music.
