Alright, so the thousands of people shooting at US troops and praying for our deaths in the Middle East are just bystanders that are innocents?

P.S. I don't think you got the point of the comparison between terrorism and car-crash deaths. Terrorism has killed probably less than 10 000 US civilians in the last century, yet a billion a day is spent to combat it. Car's kill more than four times that each year, yet a mere pittance is spent (comparitavely) on reducing the problem.

No kidding. At this point, we don't have to search for rockets to have reason to invade Iran. Facing facts, Iran is a greater threat to the world than Saddam was before we invaded Iraq. Iran is trying to get nukes, and they've already promised to bomb Israel with it. Even Europe (UK in particular) is talking about Iran as a serious threat. I'm confident that there will be a war involving the West and Iran in the near future. Iran is already fighting a proxy war against us in Iraq as it is, and these rockets are just more evidence of that fact. Anyone with understanding of the situation there knows that Iran has a very heavy hand not just in Iraq, but in the Syrian and Lebanese governments as well.

So why was nothing done by the US, or the international community, when Pakistan, amongst others, developed its weapon, over many many years? Why has the US or the international community done very little or nothing about stopping nuclear proliferation for many, many years?

And why oil-rich Iran, and why now? How is Iran the equivalent of a "homicidal maniac" in your analogy, when it has been much less violent than, say, the US over the last 10 years?

The nuclear case being built up against Iran, and the exaggerated demonisation of Ahmadinejad, a weak political figure who will spout any bollocks to get electoral support, smells as much of bullshit as the original case against Iraq did.
