Animated GIFs as avatars

Idea: We should be able to set animated GIFs as avatars. The avatar I uploaded is supposed to animate, but it doesn't.

Why it's needed: Because I want it :cry:

Priority: 0.01, but I know it's easy to implement so it's not a big deal.

It's actually already possible. The problem is most likely that yours is too big. Try downsizing it and it'll probably work. If you do a forum search, this has been discussed a few times before, with more information about HOW to do that in those threads. Good luck with it!

We had this problem before. I think if the avatar is more that 100x100px then CC compressees it to a certain size and its loses it animated frames

Oh sorry, I wasn't bitching about your typing... I was just hoping that every user with an animated avatar would post here in mock-confusion to make the poor guy think that he was going crazy, or was techno-illiterate.
