triple team map strategy - ccu

Postby SkyT on Thu Oct 11, 2007 8:16 pm

hi im writing this to teach some of the new players how to play certain maps, in this post, ccu. the reason i picked this map is that getting a bonus is not the most important factor, but which bonus and how to play is more important.

CCU

the key to this map is Quad, as we can see that quad is connected to every single territory apart from administration. if one team have a large army on quad, that team can break any bonus the other team hold other than administration. so it is important to take control of quad and forty as much army into it as possible.

next step is to take control of student services. (note, it is best if this player is not the same person thats holding quad, this is lessen the chance of one teammate becoming too weak and get eliminated.)

after taking student services and quad, everything else is straight forward, teammate1 keeps on fortying extra armies into quad to break enemy team's bonuses, while teammate2 hold student services and support teammate1 by dropping a few on quad if it is needed. teammate3 will just expand into administration and split up into 2 armies, one goes into sciences while the other goes into liberal arts.

note that it is important not to kill too many allied territory for bonus other than student services. if you have to or really want to, calculate the lose and benefits. killing one allied territory means u are killing one army of ur ally and replacing it with one of yours, (in the case of perfect roll). which means you are wasting 2 armies. in a small map like this, 2 armies could decide who win and who lose. also, constantly watch out for armies build up around quad, attack them before they get too big.

advantages of this strategy is very obvious,
1. no teammate can be eliminated easily by the other team because teammate1 will have a huge army on quad, teammate2 will hold a bonus and be protected by the quad, teammate3 will be supported constantly to expand and gain more territory.
2. it is almost for sure that your team will get 2 extra armies every turn than the other team, in a small map like this, those 2 armies are the ones that wins u the game.

cheers and good luck!

Dont forget first to only play freestyle matches with 2 partners sitting next to you so you can play all your moves simultaneously ( or just pretend they are there and play all the moves yourself ) 99% of the time the other team are not able to co-ordinate as well so you will win most of the time.
Sequential games are a much better test of course and are a fairer contest but who wants that - much better to just win all of the time !
Wouldnt it be great if everybody started playing freestyle triples with their friends as partners, who needs stupid singles games where skill and strategy make the winning of games actually mean something :?

Very important. Disregard OP, this is all you need to know to win triples games on any map.
