how did they get by the copy right issues??

It was made from scratch, I think. I think it's legal as long as you don't start with an existing map of it.

oh ok, cause im making a prydain map, and I have made it from scratch, but I used the map that they show ppl on this website for the bookseries as a templat, here is a link to it

I doubt it, they've blatantly plagiarised all the names, either they haven't got copyright to do it or the Tolkien estate have given them some special dispensation.

how can we get away with the names?

like the star wars map, they cant use star wars or anything word or graphic-wise that is related to teh star wars franchise.

so the current middle earth map is violating copy right laws by using the names.

Yer, its not similar to the maps in the books at all. Some of the place names are debatable, and the geography isn perfect. Its not an exact replica of the actual Middle earth map that Tolkiens son drew.
