In Denver they started a club guessing who would die for the year. you had a list of people you thought would die this year and the person with the most right gets the money. They had a movie called Things to do in Denver when your dead that was a take off on it, or at least the title was from the club.

I remember when Viz Magazine, after accidentally foreshadowing Brian Connolly's (of The Sweet) death in 1997, tried to do the same for the Queen Mother for years, mainly by constantly talking about how awful it would be when she died, with constant TV coverage, etc. They eventually gave up, and guess what she bloody goes and does a couple of months later? Yeah.
