He is suspected of glitching me in a freestyle game

Suspect users: BobbyLee

Game Number:http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=931694

Comments: I am playing a guy in a 1v1 freestyle speed game on classic map. I've played plenty of freestyles and recognize that 1v1 speed games its all about being quick enough to get into it before your opponent can attack first. This guy is glitching me somehow so that I don't see that he has started his turn until after he has already made an attack or two. I am hitting refresh constantly and have never had this problem before.

I honestly don't know how he is doing it, but I have been clicking refresh constantly. It'll get to about the 4:30 mark and then click in that he has started his move and he has already knocked out 2 places. It doesn't make sense.

This isn't a noob mistake. I've played plenty of freestyle games and I understand occasionally there can be a lag in refreshing, but I promise that's not the case and something is up here. I was seeing no progress, saying he hadn't started his turn and poof 2 seconds later he has not only started his turn, deployed his troops, but he's also knocked out TWO of my provinces. Sorry I'm just not buying this as legit. I stopped playing and am posting here.

'Glitching' the game is nearly impossible to do and is pretty hard and/or foolish to make an opponent "slow" his refreshed page in order to win the game.

There is also the possibility that your connection at that time was unstable, causing a slight delay to refresh your page, or your computer might be having it's own issues. All these while BobbyLee was having no problems at his end.

If we get more reports about the same issue with the same player, then perhaps we have something unusual to look into.

Understandable although I do not believe it to be one of those other excuses you mentioned.

LOL! That's too funny.

To begin with - you played three rounds before giving up. In all rounds you played, on purpose you ended last. Consequently, your opponent got the benfit to begin the round. Even if refreshing constantly, there will be a lag of a second or two. However, in the mere two rounds you played second (round 2 and 3) before giving up, you played had a five (5) and a three (3) second lag respectively.

Further, when constantly updating/refreshing a page like this, you tend to create your own "glitches" due to more or less overloading your computor's RAM memory. It happens to me all the time, I refresh in a freestyle game and now and then I get a blank error page.

Are you seriously blaming your opponent? You should (i) perhaps not have ended each turn as the last player to end, and (ii) at least know that by doing so, your opponent will get a head start.

At least maybe playing more than two rounds before deadbeating and complaining... :D

I love getting called as a f***ing noob like I haven't been on here for months playing freestyles..

First, why are you saying "on purpose ended last"..wtf is that supposed to mean? I made my turn and that was that. He just happened to finish before me in as you said TWO rounds.

You proved my point by saying there can be a "lag of a second or two". Can you begin your turn, deploy troops, and conquer TWO places in 2 seconds? Neither can I. I've played a plethora of freestyles, I understand how refreshing works and that there can be a few seconds of lag, but it's bogus as hell if I'm refreshing and he has clicked to begin his turn, deployed on the correct territory, attacked one place..fortified, attacked another and fortified in the time that I get to see that it's my turn. I'm very quick and can usually see that they've started and deploy about the same time. That's the only reason I play freestyles is my own speed.

Why would you come into a report thread to give someone shit you don't even know. I've never deadbeat a game since joining and have only missed individuals rounds on a day I was flying from England back to the states which was out of my control. I only let that game go because it was glitched out.

I don't know if it was my opponent or something else, but either way I got dicked out of a game that I very legitimately could have picked up if I wasn't getting a lag that was causing me to not be able to do anything until he had already broken my bonus. I even posted in the game chat that I was reporting it and that if he wasn't doing anything wrong he would be fine.

This wasn't a "omg he's beating me..time to call him for cheesing!" thread. I feel that I was legitimately dicked over either by the game or something he was doing. But don't bother posting in here about garbage like I just joined the site and don't know how the system works or speculating on my computer's RAM.

LOL. I didn't call you a noob. I'm just questioning your judgment here if you really believe that your opponent - in some way probably only known to himself - actually delayed your refreshments.

It's easy to make a quick start in a freestyle game. Hit begin, hit deploy, hit auto-attack, hit advance, hit auto-attack. Obviously he managed to do it during a three-five seond time period. I guess he was fast as well needing only 3 and 5 seconds respectively to do this.

And you did indeed end last in round 1, 2 and 3 on purpose. A quick look at the game log:

Round 1:
2007-09-25 22:59:48 - rsuttles58 fortified Quebec with 2 armies from Northwest Territory
2007-09-25 22:59:51 - BobbyLee fortified Mongolia with 2 armies from Japan

2007-09-25 23:00:06 - BobbyLee fortified New Guinea with 2 armies from Western Australia
2007-09-25 23:00:07 - BobbyLee gets a card
2007-09-25 23:00:08 - rsuttles58 fortified Eastern United States with 2 armies from Ontario

Round 2:
2007-09-25 23:01:47 - rsuttles58 attacked Venezuela from Central America and conquered it from BobbyLee

2007-09-25 23:02:24 - BobbyLee attacked Western Europe from North Africa and conquered it from rsuttles58
2007-09-25 23:02:27 - BobbyLee gets a card
2007-09-25 23:02:52 - rsuttles58 gets a card

Round 3:
2007-09-25 23:03:34 - rsuttles58 receives 3 armies for 9 territories
2007-09-25 23:03:44 - BobbyLee fortified China with 2 armies from Mongolia
2007-09-25 23:04:03 - BobbyLee fortified Middle East with 1 armies from Brazil
2007-09-25 23:04:34 - BobbyLee fortified Brazil with 1 armies from Middle East
2007-09-25 23:04:42 - BobbyLee gets a card
2007-09-25 23:04:53 - rsuttles58 deployed 3 armies on Afghanistan

Case closed. You ended lastly on purpose. (Unless you're really, really slow when taking your turn...)

By ending lastly on purpose (I assume you wanted to maximize your fortifications for the next round), you put yourself in a position where you knew that your opponent would get a head-start, possibly having enough time to attack wherever you didn't want him to attack.

It was well-played on his part. And you were just too slow here. A 3 and a 5 second time-lag between he starting and you starting as no. 2 in a round is quite normal. You just happened to stumble across an opponent who was very fast. Or do you even believe that this guy stopped the timer, blocked you from the game, made a few moves, then starting the timer and unblocking you? :D

I think you're overreacting. And I must say that even putting a [noted] mark as part on the thread topic seems like a gross overreaction on part of the mods.
