playable area

I think it would be a great addition to the site if one had the ability to 'hide' the left side bar during a game.

What do I mean?
after hitting 'begin game' the menu options on the left (IE Game Menu, Interaction etc) disappear and the whole map, playing field etc slide over. A 'sidebar' link could be put on this new page to return the user to the normal screen view (with the left sidebar intact)

like S = Sidebar, P = playing area

normal:
S P
modified
P P

modified being a sort of 'full screen' mode
I hope this makes sense...

Its not the vertical space, its the horizontal space. I'd like to view the large maps...but with the left sidebar, i have to scroll sideways to see all the information. It'd be nice if one could optionally remove that sidebar with a pseudo full screen option.

Plus it may help those on dialup or slow connections. I'm sure all the data from that sidebar can get pretty sizable when multiplied by the number of times a page gets refreshed just taking ones turn. Every little bit (no pun intended) counts.
