Forum Discipline Warnings (suggestion)

Postby Beastly on Tue Aug 28, 2007 2:57 am

I am suggesting that when mods send out warnings for forum discipline that they should post exactly where a person made a error.

Here is a example of a warning...

As much as we enjoy and appreciate your enthusiasm for posting in the forum, please do keep on topic of the thread you are posting in. Hijacking threads, either intentionally or unintentionally, is prohibited in our Forum Guidelines. This is your one warning.

Regards,
The Conquer Club

If someone is hijacking unintentionally, they should know where they did it.

How else can they correct themselves if they did something unintentionally. Especially if they do alot of posting.

Thats all. thanks

If you have any questions about how/where a rule was violated, you can PM a mod, or fill out an eticket if your PM privileges are revoked. That's our standard canned message, which makes our life easier, as most people do know where they went astray.

Beastly has a good point about the "unintentional" part, but I understand why that phrase is included also.

I think most unintentional hijacking happens because of a lapse in concentration (about the topic I guess) but if a person received a warning they'd be able to figure out where it happened. So it makes sense to me!
