Mkay, my original plan was to repost the long and entertaining and moderately profane entry I was going to write for my crappy blog, but since it's going to take me a few days to get that dialed in, here's the reader's digest version:
Friday
Took the day off work
Watched most of the Angels-Red Sox doubleheader
Dinner with my brother
VIP table at a East Hollywood nightclub with various and sundry family, friends, well-wishers, and assorted females of mostly high attractiveness
Many many drinks at said table
Sources report that Incandenza was spotted dancing at around 0030 PDT
Company move to the titty bar
Gratis lap dance from, as far as I've been able to determine, the World's Hottest Stripper
Company move to my pad, where I had the inestimable pleasure of watching my brother and roommate talk acres of shit as they drunkenly played Madden 2008 (which, odd as it sounds, was one of the highlights of my evening and, even odder as it sounds, was a way better way to end my birthday than drunkenly groping some random chick in a dark bedroom somewhere)
Saturday
Awoke strangely devoid of hangover
Company move to my dad's pimpin' bayfront house, where I was for the first time the recipient of the cliche "Surprise!" birthday greeting (the party wasn't a surprise, the number of people there was a mild surprise, the fact that my mom flew in was a major and supremely excellent surprise)
Spent the rest of the day hanging out on the deck and drinking and smoking and bullshitting
Opened presents (my brother got me this watch that has to be seen to be believed)
Returned home, played some CC, had a few more drinks, sleep
The last two days have seriously been some of the best of my life. And again (and again and again) I want to thank you all for your kind birthday wishes, both here and PM. It really means a lot to me.
