Settlers of Catan

Just wondering how many people have played this game?

I think it is an awesome board game second to none but Risk

I have not heard of it, but I am intrigued. Tell me more.

For some reason, the first thing that I thought of when I saw this topic was Satan. Odd. But I am listening to Ave Satani.

It's a bit hard to explain the rules. Pretty much you are a settler and you need to build roads, settlements and cities. Every turn you throw dice and you you might receive the appropriate resources with resources you can buy cards, roads, cities, settlements.

great board game that, the knights and cities expansion takes it to another level though.

I really like that expansion. But I agree the gameplay is really different in that expansion

Wow, this is a nicer, much more beautiful version of the game than the one I own. Anyway, it's my favorite board game. It's way better than Risk, FOR SURE.

nexus ops seems like a good board game too, SO GO TO THIS LINK....jk..but it seems to be a strategy game, but it only takes an hour plus.

It's a good game. I hate to admit but I like it better than risk. Risk just takes way too long to setup. On the other hand I also like cc much better than risk.

I've got this game in German. Was a bit hard to decipher some of the cards, but it was fine once I got the rules explained to me in English.

Anyway, I love Catan. It's great.

Dang it, Iliad! I've had so much fun arguing with you and then you find something we have in common. Yes, this is a really cool game. I've played it and I hate that "robber".

It gets very crazy when both expansions are played at the same time and you have the events cards. But that is nothing compared to combining it with Starfarers of Catan and Puerto Rico make up a lot of new rules. (I have actually done this)

I have played Puerto Rico but I haven't played Starfarers.

I have played both expansions and it is awesome.

I've only played Settlers of Catan a couple of times while serving my LDS mission as something to do on our days off. I will say that it is quick to learn and doesn't take a very long time to play.

I'd play it again I think.
