Ah, my friend, this is where your youth works against you, as you are unable to identify Burt Reynolds in the midst of his glory years...

btw, that little creature is a he? seriously? 'cause I actually watch inuyasha sometimes (mostly because the show makes so little sense to the casual viewer that it becomes riotously funny), and the voice sounds pretty female... :D

Yes he is, also I've seen that before, though females being the voices of males quite odd. (Right now I'm not a casual veiwer, but it's still funny. I like the show, a lot. Close to pokemon. (Note, remember this is coming from Fircoal) )

Okay, we're totally spamming this thread now, but I don't care, because I think I can help you.

You need to rent and watch the following movies and TV series, ASAP: akira, ghost in the shell, ninja scroll (that one might be dicey given your minor status, since there's nudity and severe violence), vampire hunter d (ditto), neon genesis evangelion, cowboy bebop, princess mononoke, castle in the sky, samurai champloo, macross plus, blood the last vampire, and I'm sure there are a few others but I've forgotten them. The animatrix wouldn't hurt either, nor would the old aeon flux shorts.

The thing is that pokemon and inuyasha and dragon ball z and what not are basically the shallow end of the anime pool. You're a smart guy, you should be swimming in the deep end, where the unbelievably cool shit is. I didn't even start watching anime in a meaningful capacity until I was in college. If you watch the above titles, you'll be so far ahead of the curve that nerds will come to worship you for your foresight.

Besides, Pikachu sucks dick for crack now, don't you remember?

WEll you could do them by pm. Also, I am more trying to watch what I can. I saw InuYasha one day and got into it. I could care less what side it's on it's still really good. But I'll take some of your suggestions if I can find them. THen again I don't have much money. :D

If we're talking old school, he needs to watch Miyazaki's entire collection, starting with Nausicaa. Oh, and he needs to track down Now and Then, Here and There and watch the entire damned series in one sitting (and preferably not go kill himself afterwards), because the show is just that damned good. Hoshi no Koe is up there, too.

Samurai Champloo was good, but he might as well hunt down Kenshin while he's at it. There are tons of others I can name that are worth watching (old and recent) : Tenchi, El Hazard, Escaflowne, Gunslinger Girl, Crest/Banner of the Stars, Full Metal Panic, Claymore (currently airing), and a thousand other odds and ends depending on how well you tastes match my (rather eclectic) own.

Celebrate all you want, because I never have to write anything in terza rima ever again, and you'll still be counting syllables and posting in those ridiculous nonets.

So another letter to Fircoal... (and unless I'm mistaken, pancake got a letter last round for missing his turn, but that's not reflected in the first page)

Anyway...
