I think the setup went very well. It could have been a totally different game if players other than Incandenza and Aimless were two of the first to go. PCM dropped the ball, but he did find scum after the first night and that gave us a chance. It could have been an easy win for mafia if PCM had investigated Talapus or wicked right away.

I suppose it doesn't surprise me that Aim took me out directly, but it sorta backfired on him, since everyone assumed that I died protecting pancake, thus there was never much question that pancake was the cop.

I agree that MVP for this particular game goes to ML. Well played indeed, sir.

I'm just bummed we didn't win...

Anyway. The game was fun (especially as a respite from rhymin'), and the roster was pretty damn good for an open invite 7-player game.

ML told you what to do, I told you what to do! And, did you notice I was perfectly willing to unvote Tal, when I knew he was scum, to vote no lynch? You should have stopped to think about that one. By way of explanation, I'll just post the PM I sent Talapus night 1.

Hmmm.

Unfortunately, since PCM claimed cop, he's probably going to draw protection tonight, so killing him would be bad. We need to find the doc; my hunch says it's ML or Incandenza, so one of those two would be my choice for a NK. Third choice would be wicked.

I'm actually slightly inclined to let wicked live, because "she's always scum" and "when she's not scum, she's usually one of the first to die." On the other hand, if we make either of those arguments, we have to be extremely careful about it, because they're major scum tells.

My only last thought is that, since you're the Godfather, you're immune to investigation - we may want to try to leverage that. Unfortunately, the odds are good that PCM will investigate me tonight, and know I'm scum. We should keep arguing as much as possible; if it looks like there's going to be a lynch on me, try to lead it. That way, you'll look like town on Day 3, and PCM won't be able to investigate you to say otherwise.

I think we've done a pretty good job of distancing ourselves so far - the only person who named both of us was Serbia, and I think that was more along the lines of an "I'm suspicious of one of these two" type thing.

Now... tell me, is that a freaking accurate assessment of the game, or what? I don't think I've ever guessed who's who that well before.

Unfortunately, though, for me, as soon as pancake claimed I knew I was dead. My only goal after that point was to try to draw fire away from Talapus, since I was certain I'd be investigated night one (as I was).

I was hoping you, ML, or Serbia might have gotten the cop, because there was a chance you'd target wicked instead of me (and wouldn't that have been an easy day 2 win? ), but I knew pcm would nail me first.

But that was only my second game, and had yet to gain much of a reputation. Next time I was scum, whoooole different story (thanks mostly to exile, that bastard )... then again, I was a Goon (this was in part one of colony rendezvous), so mostly I was just trying to run interference for dcowboys.

Yep. My first scum game (Film Noir) was the same way; we should have won, and probably would have had I not accidentally hit the paranoid gun owner on the final night.

After that, though, whole 'nother story. The Tombstone game, I was third in line for investigation, behind AK and (I think) auto, and ahead of wicked.
