I will agree, even though he is quite the tool. He is very man pretty.

Then from somewhere in the middle of the audience someone stood up and yelled, "BURN!" It was clearly a very funny mormon joke which was even funnier because my town is so strongly mormon

Wow...and Joe Beevers wasn't involved at all?

After reading what spurgistan said, I just looked up Mitt Romney on Wikipedia, and the man is indeed a tool, especially with his seemingly dishonest views on abortion.

Nevertheless, he is pretty.

If I were a lass, I'd shag that, in spite of his toolishness. But I'd use contraception.

I wouldn't use contraception.
I would get an abortion
I would watch him go I approve
then begin to say I disapprove
Then I approve again
and so on and so forth

the first thing he did was start talking about his wife and how much he loved her. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to burn him. So I yelled very loudly.. which one?

... Was that a crack against his being a Mormon? Or has he been through a few wives (divorced)? If it's a Mormon crack, you're no better than a racist, Kyle. So, you hate Catholics, too? And how about Jews, Muslims and Buddhists?

......................

Mitt Romney only cares about freedom for those that think, act, behave, and are exactly like him. Which is your typical mormon people. He is one of the worst people about trying to impose his views on others.

.... This is a vague, unsupported statement. How do you make this connection? Did he tell you this? He said, maybe ...

..
"Well, Kyle, you know I only care about freedom for those that think, act, behave, and are exactly like me". ?

... Is that how you came to this conclusion? And then there you are again with the Mormon thing...

...............................

Now that he is trying to vie for the votes of republicans he has completely changed his view sets and he is trying everything possible to get roe v. wade overturned.. what a tool.

... What a tool, yeah. Give us a link to show us where we can find the specifics on this shift in his thinking, as he's always been Libertarian on the abortion issue... Or are you just guessing?

...........................

he didn't get into any politics just tried to get everyone on his side by mentioning freedom 30000 times.

... Yeah, that would be annoying. I'm sure your favorite candidates would never stoop to such depths.

...........

(concerning the Darfur jewelry thing)

They are sort of stuck in a huge pyramid scheme where maybe 20 cents of the dollar bracelets get to darfur. Who is at the top pulling the strings? it's tools like Mitt Romney that's who.

... So, Romney's involved in pyramid rip-off schemes? C'mon, Kyle, give us details. Does he peddle Amway? Or is this yet another vague, unfounded and pointless attack against a filthy Mormon?

...............

... Now, that root beer and soda deal, yeah, that would piss me off, too.

1. The mormon thing was more of a joke. A good old fashioned ribbing. A burn so to speak

2. No I've grown up with mormons. My whole family grandma, my ward, just knowing their opinions is how I supported that it is typical among the mormons. And based off of his political beliefs and what he has said elsewhere you can tell that he is no different.

3. No, it is depending on different things he has said when he's doing various things, such as campaining for governor of massachusetts he had a whole different set of "beliefs" than now when he is trying to run for the republican nomination of president. That is toolish to me.

4. No it was just rather annoying that instead of getting into political beliefs at all since you know he was campaining he decided to straight up just say freedom a bunch.

5. no, that actually had nothing to do with mitt romney, I was just venting my frustration at the tools in charge, and mitt romney is a tool in my opinion. I figured it just sorta echoed my frustration at him back through.

6.the rootbeer soda was ridiculous.

... And these things lead you to believe that Romney doesn't give a crap about freedom for anybody who is not a Mormon then? I really don't see the connection.

reverend_kyle wrote:4. No it was just rather annoying that instead of getting into political beliefs at all since you know he was campaining he decided to straight up just say freedom a bunch.

... I have to agree with you on this one. But you won't get much else from anybody I think, in a 2 minute speech. Why 2 minutes? Did he have a bus to catch or something?

... So, in other words, there is no connection at all. You just despise Romney because you couldn't get a cup of Mountain Dew at the concessions, and you took out your frustrations against the man who denied you your soft drink. I can relate to that . . .

.... It's obvious, Kyle, that you hated the guy before ever you heard him say a word. Guessing you're some manner of Democrat... and at 17, well, I guess it's a good thing you give a sh*t at all, really.

... I'm not a Mormon, but I served with several MARDET Marines who were, and those guys were the most upstanding lads I've ever known. You're covering your ass here, with, "I was just venting", etc.. but, and I say this with no meanness, as you're yet just a kid, perhaps you might wish to be a bit more careful when attaching the word, typical to any reference to race or religion. Perhaps, "Obama? yeah, typical black guy"... "Lieberman! That guy is a typical Jew!", etc...

1. it really was more of a joke based on religious history. Half the mormons I know would laugh at it like haha those silly mormons of the past. The other half would be like "that never happened".

2.No, his political beliefs in varous facets lead me to believe that.

3. the brevity of two minutes is exactly what was frusterating to me. He didn't have to catch a bus. He just needed 3 hours to have his $100 photo session(charge people 100 dollars to have a picture taken with him) before the fireworks started at 10 I guess.

4. I did dislike him before then I didn't think he was the worst thing ever. His sketchiness when coming to my town when he was supposed to be impressing me enough to donate to his campaign just furthered this dislike.

Also I like to consider myself more on the green side.
