In poker, it's important to read your opponents if you want to read a high level. But bluffs, and even lies are considered part of the game.
In risk, it's important to read another player's intentions. A lot of people seem to complain here about tactics of deception, real or perceived. This game isn't really risk- you can't see your opponent or talk to them directly. There's more time to think.
It seems to me that a lot of the thinking behind negative feedback or forum posts has an idea of honour behind it, which might seem strange in a modern day simulation of war.
Threatening a negative feedback, or suggesting that a player is cheating can provoke certain players to back off, or attack unnecessarily, just as if you'd questioned an officer's honour on a nineteenth century battlefield.
How far can you push the psychology aspect of the game? What's fair in love and war? And how important is honour and respect compared to success to you?
