So there you go. What are peoples thoughts? Who will win? The American League has a definite edge over the National League historically, but could this be the year? Thoughts, opinions, or anything else leading up to the All Star game should go here :)

Granderson and Sheffield got robbed, and Bonderman HAD BETTER make the "last player in" thing.

The Cubs barely get some guys on the team. Neither one is a starter or chosen by the managers. That speaks volumes!

Neither is going decades without winning a World Series. One of the few reasons that I like the Tigers is that they thrashed the Padres in '84. I felt a slight bit of revengeful satisfaction after that.

Unfortunately, I was only 3 then, and couldn't fully enjoy that victory.

Granderson's on my fantasy team (as is Polanco), and he's been kicking ass this year. But the AL outfield is a tough nut to crack. Who are you going to replace?

Oh, yeah, and vote Pablo Escobar for the "last player"!

I wouldn't sleep on the Cubbies at this point. The NL is wide open, and more to the point they've gotten themselves back into second place... yeah, the brew crew is some number of games ahead of them, but the pieces are definitely there for a strong second-half push.

But I wouldn't put money on it or anything. :D

Im not even a Red Sox fan, but even i realize that Okinawa should make it in. He is by far the most dominant reliever in the game right now, including closer, and no one hits off of him.

luns are you a Cub fan, well any way Soriano was robbed of the last outfielder spot by Bonds and for Derek Lee, Prince Fielder is having a pretty good season. 3rd base, Aramis was injured alot. Hopefully Big-Z makes it in the last player thing.

thank you, yeah they are 5.5 back of the Brewers and dont really have a chance of making the wildcard just look at the standings. But 5.5 isnt that big of a margin. THE CUBS CAN DO IT!

I would like to point out in this picture that he was not the only one going for the ball, just the unlucky one to come down with it

and secondly if the Cubs were good that year, they wouldn't have let a foul ball ruin their season

Brewers haven't won a world series ever, we came close in 1982, we were up 3 games- 2 over the Cardnials but they had Ozzie Smith and one Brewer got up in pressure situations and did nothing, but we don't send him hate mail everyday

Yeah I admit to it. Growing up in Indiana we had no professional teams except for the Pacers in the NBA. You're kind of forced to choose teams from either Cincinnati or Chicago. I like the Bears & the Cubs. I guess my second favorite teams would be the Bengals & the Reds.

But under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I ever root for Cleveland, despite what Red Bull might say.
