And others if you so wish to participate.
The question is:
How often do you see the sea?
May seem like an odd question, but it's a fairly reasonable one in my eyes.
I live right on Britain's south-east coast, about a 10 minute walk away from the beach. So I see the sea basically nearlly every day.
But America is a huge country, if you live in the centre, surely it must be a day or two's drive away...

It must seem weird if you've never seen the sea.
BTW, I'm talking about real life here, seeing it on TV doesn't count.

I'm in Wisconsin, I've only seen the sea once, and that was on the class field trip to Washington DC

I see it often, because I live in Connecticut, but not once or twice a week. I'm also on the beach about 2 weeks of the summer when I go to Block Island.

Hmm... I went to Washington D.C. too once, when I was 11, but I don't remember seeing the ocean then... So I'd have to say I've never seen the ocean. I live in Michigan, so I've seen Lakes Huron, Michigan, Superior, and Erie, (St. Clair too) but no ocean.

I live about 20 minutes from the beach in SoCal, so I see it throughout a few times a week during the summer and probably once a month or so during school. Sunset walks on the pier make good dates. ;)

I live around 10 minutes away from the SF bay, but that would require me leaving my house.

What sea? You mean the ocean?

I go camping/fishing down near Homer 5 or 6 times a year, so thats how often I see it.

... First time I saw the sea was in an airplane, flying over the Pacific. It was rather unremarkable from that distance.

... Then there was my Navy days... yeah, that was cool. The Atlantic was great, and so was the Med.

... but originally from Ohio... not much chance or reason for Ohioans to see an ocean.

Barely ever. Only when I'm on vacation, and I haven't been on vacation 2003, and I didn't even see it then.

Everytime I visit Seattle, Eureka down in Cali and when I'm at Astoria OR.

And I only visit maybe three times a year on average. I live near Vancouver WA, so you do the math for those three places.

I may not be American, but I see the ocean every single day. I can see the Pacific from my balcony, and I'm about 5 minutes drive away. Though, there would be some Australian's that would of never seen the Ocean.
