
I just got back from my local premier of Micheal Moore's new movie, SiCKO, and I absolutely LOVED it! He talks about and compares the health care system of the US, Canada, France, UK and Cuba. Though I find he makes the Canadian health care sound better than it really is (though it still is pretty awesome

One story that really hit me hard was the woman who took her 18 month old baby to the hospital, but, apparently, her health care plan wouldn't cover services provided at that hospital and told her to take her to one that would (presumably in a taxi). She begged and pleaded the doctors to take care of her baby (who had a fever of over 104), but she was only escorted out. She ended up going to the other hospital. The little girl went into cardiac arrest there and died.
It also talks about 9/11 heroes, other social services provided in other countries, cost of pharmaceuticals and bills passed by congress. I would REALLY recommend seeing this movie. Here are a few links:
