Fibonacci Snail

Special Features: none in particular
What Makes This Map Worthy of Being Made: it is a cute snail and having a new basic map is always worth it.

This is a still work in progress map but the xml and most of the art has been done and I would like to get started on testing it to see if it is fun

The legend explaining continent bonuses will be remade but should suffice for basic testing.

Very cool map!
Might want to stagger the region bonus like Conquer Man map or just limit it like Hive. 25 troops is a lot to get on first turn just for regions.
Also, this doesn't really matter but maybe cut off the sequence at 55 in the explanation. Having 89 in there had me searching for it at first

Yeah i think i will make it based on 4 or 5 not 3. And yeah maybe a max amount maybe. Also need to make a lot of territories neutral to not drop the small bonuses

yeah the legend is just a rough version i threw together to start testing

but the map has a few extra fun maths stuff in the map i will put in the real legend

I had similar thougts. But this a great map in the making. And yes : hive and conquer man come to mind. Another thougt: change the white background.

I had similar thougts. But this a great map in the making. And yes : hive and conquer man come to mind. Another thougt: change the white background.

Just my first thought after having first turn on the map. I actually had pretty bad dice but I still think im up well enough. The concept is really cool ya'll are doing a great job with all these new maps. I hope new people once they launch will see them and not just keep playing baltic

I think at minimum the various bonus regions should be colored the same way they are on the legend, just like in 4 Star Meats. The description is still confusing though so I'm looking forward to the updated one.

Why is Baltic so popular, anyway? I know it's a bit more complex than a standard conquer map, and at least it's not a Feudal, but still, I don't really get it.

The bonuses are colour coded with the numbers that are on the regions, Though this will hopefully be improved in the actual legend. However what specifically is confusing in the current legend so that I can make sure to address it in any updates

is it the extra 89 I added to the sequence? or something else? as the map is meant to be a pretty basic one a bit like 4 star meats you mentioned but more fun and colourful

Oh, yeah, I didn't even look at the font color of the numbers rather than the color of the regions. I'm colorblind, so tiny splotches of color are nearly impossible to parse, anyway; big fields of one color are much easier. And it's not clear, from name alone, exactly which regions are where.

Is the snail shell the only region subject to the Fibonacci rules? The body is standard continental bonus region format?

If so...how does it work, exactly? Do you need to collect any two terts named "1"s, plus a "2" and a "3" and a "5", mixed and matched from any group in the shell, to get a "5th term" bonus of 2? Does that bonus stack with the previous 4 terms worth, for a total of 6, or are they mutually exclusive? Can you get another set of those again for a second bonus of +6 (or +2, respectively)?

Or are the names of all the territories immaterial, and it's just a matter of collecting at least 5, or 8, or 13, etc. of each sequentially-numbered series of terts in the shell? And in that case can you mix and match, or is each colored set independent and able to be collected indepently and their bonuses stackable with each of the other sets?

I see no it is a rather basic map in theory where each bonus is just it's own section that you collect. The shell starts in the middle and moves outward , so shell 1st term is the central shell region and so on around till about half the outer shell band is shell term 10. On the real version of the log I plan to have a mini map that is colour coded how you want the main map recoloured do you think that will be sufficient for your colour blind ness? Also when you play a game you will be able to see what regions are what by hovering over them as they are named for the bonus they are part of.

I get that the legend isn't the clearest but it was just a quick version I threw together so I could get some testing of the game play started

It is essentially just a classic map but larger and snail shaped.
